This place is a diner.
The star of the show.
My kind of kitchen!
So close...
The inside of Jillians Restaurant.
Jillian's Restaurant fabulous!
When an 18-month-old demolishes a giant pancake and 1/2 an egg, you know it's good.
Ooey gooey cheese curds that (finally!) aren't so salty you need a cup of water with each one.
Philly cheese steak sub with kettle cooked chips.
1/3 lb beef burger with home cut fries. Yummmm

Jillian's is a small diner in Princeton, Wisconsin that delivers on food. There is so much I like about this place that it seems almost trivial, but to offer a fair review I do have to address the disparity in service, not just today but over the years. If you are a local, the waitress/owner will talk to you and be super attentive. As an outsider to the Princeton community, I often wish we got that same level of attention. A small quibble, but it is part of the regular experience. The line cook, however, is the star of the show. On a busy weekend rush, he normally has American fries warming in the corner of a griddle, and the bacon gets cooked to order. He understands what over-easy means for eggs, and the toast comes crunchy but not burnt.Today my food came in less stellar than normal but still tasted great. The potatoes were not crispy, but that's on me. I'm so used to a rush that I didn't think to ask for them crispy. They tasted great, but had I ordered them crispy, they would have been superb. One of my over-easy eggs was slightly undercooked, leaving too much clear liquid in the egg white. The other broke open on the griddle, resulting in an extremely hard yoke. That make one bad set of eggs in twenty visits, so I know they'll be great next time.We brought our grandson along this trip, and he gave his seal of approval when he signed the symbol for more after one bite of pancake. He demolished a giant pancake in one sitting and thanked the cook on our way out. This gets four stars because my grandson was so pleased. It was not up to normal snuff, but everyone can have a bad day. I'll do an update review the next time we eat here.

This restaurant is a step above the rest! A small, & quaint diner that brings quality & taste. Staff is friendly & accommodating, while food is always quick & amazing. WHEN you visit, make sure you try the worlds BEST cinnamon roll. This is our go-to stop when visiting Green Lake.

Great breakfast and lunch. Owners are so friendly! Can get very busy during flea market times; however, it is well work the wait!May 2014 - Breakfast selections are fantastic! Omelets are so fresh and the fried potatoes are addicting. Lunch selections are delicious as well - best burger around! Highly recommend the soups, very fresh and homemade. Lasagna special here is soooo good. It's my son's favorite entree. But honestly, any of the specials always a hit. Can't go wrong!

I went there just after noon on a weekend, and were served promptly upon arrival in a homey cafe setting with vinyl tablecloths and a shelf full of giftbaskets. I've only had fried cheese curds a handful of times in my life, and these were the best I've ever had. The server came back every 15 minutes or so to check on the food and refill my companion's coffee.I got a 1/3 lb burger (a bit greasy, but also the best I've had in years), my friend got a Philly Cheese steak sandwich. He described it as "not really like a Philly Cheese steak, but it's DELICIOUS." In summary, you'll get fresh, well-cooked meat on dishes that will probably give you a heart attack if you don't immediately find some kale to balance it out. Don't expect too much from the atmosphere, but for $12/person, you'll end up with such good food and so much left over that you won't even care.

Tiny breakfast and lunch place that can fill up quickly. Food comes out a bit slow but each dish is made to order. You can feel an artery closing off with all the butter and salt used in the dishes. The meat in my taco salad was so salty it was practically inedible. I really wanted to mention the problem but did not have the heart. IF I go back (not likely), I would stick with a breakfast selection.

Extremely friendly local folk that run the place. They make their own potato cakes from a family recipe. The were good! Breakfast was good all around! Eggs, bacon, hash browns and sausage. Nice little diner.
