Jerk 76 Jamaican Restaurant

In December 2022 I saw an article online that a Jamaican restaurant was coming to the area by 76th and Mill. I'm familiar with this particular location cause it used to be the closest gyro restaurant to where I live, so I was excited to have a jerk chicken place "close" by. After checking in on them for months, I saw they finally opened in late spring and I made it there as soon as I could. I ordered a large jerk chicken plate, which came with cabbage and rice & beans. They were sadly out of jerk chicken egg rolls when I stopped or else I would have gotten one.Both the cabbage and rice & beans are fine. Certainly nothing to write home about. I was told I could substitute one of them for plantains and ultimately I wish I had swapped out the cabbage. I ended up eating some of the sides, but didn't finish either.The jerk chicken was ok. For $17 I don't think there was enough of it in the plate, even though the picture I uploaded makes it look like there was a decent amount (they were small pieces on top of a ton of rice & beans). The flavor was good and there was some heat, but not as much heat as I like in jerk chicken. I saw on the menu that you can order the chicken as a side and that's tempting instead of getting an entire plate if I stop back.To date I think Fiyahside is my favorite jerk chicken spot in Milwaukee. Jerk 76 is fine in a pinch, though, when I can't make it to Fiyahside. Hopefully they have jerk chicken egg rolls available next time.

Went for a second time. They had chicken and goat curry, YES!!!! And ordering was a delight. Super nice person at the counter. We didn't have to wait too long for our order. Minus 1 star because it's a drive, but it's worth it. BEST in Milwaukee, I guarantee it.

This is the best Jamaican Jerk Chicken I have had north of Kingston. The staff are incredibly friendly. The servings are absolutely huge. I had the small jerk chicken and I have enough for tomorrow nights dinner. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Can be a bit tuff to find and although you can eat in I carried out. Don't let the ambience.fool you. The food is absolutely first class.

I placed an order that came out to roughly $31.00 and waited half an hour just to get back to the counter for them to tell me that they didn't even have the wings in the back that I ordered

They never answer the phone always off the hook or disconnected the food is excellent I wish they have people there to answer when you try to call ahead

My oxtails was terrible plus they was full of fat and messed up my whole day but I'll be there tomorrow to take him back I got pictures and I still got it sitting right here I'm very upset but never again

This place is listed as closing at 9pm and they purposely go out of their way to close at 8pm. The staff is very lazy and rude as they sit around eat and drink and finally take your order as if they forgot they're an establishment. If I could give a lower rating I would, they're food IS NOT AS ADVERTISED BEWARE.
