The food was great but the margaritas... ehhLast year my riding and I went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and I was trying to find it. The food was awesome, the margaritas were fantastic and served in mason jars. This name of this place sounded familiar to me so we came here.We went in thinking this was the place and was seated quickly. They served chips and a green salsa right away, my riding buddy thought that the salsa we had before was red. We ordered our usual margaritas anticipating a good cocktail. When the drinks came we were a little disappointed that they were not in a mason jar. We were very disappointed that the margaritas tasted like there was no tequila in them, it was like drinking mix. I finished mine fairly quickly and when the server brought the food We mentioned how the margaritas tasted like there was no alcohol in them. He explained that the margaritas are pre-made in batches, a margarita should always be made fresh from scratch in my opinion. I asked for another and also asked that there be alcohol in this one. He brought the second one and the flavor was much improved, it no longer tasted like just mix. My riding buddy ordered a second and her drink still tasted like mix only so I ordered a shot.The service was good, the ambiance was great but the margaritas a big let down.

Visiting Racine with family for a long weekend and this was our first dinner stop. Fast seating on a busy Friday night, excellent service from Tony (a gem of a waiter who was all smiles!), and the food? Authentic goodness! Def hit them up the next time you find yourself in Racine!

Talk about a great family restaurant. You can feel the love in this place. Greeted warmly, you will be treated well by the staff. My favorite are the fajitas. Best I've had in Racine. Really a gem in my city.

The food is always delicious!! They have the best rice in my opinion a perfect blend and never too dry. The service is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is simple and cozy. I always recommend them to others!!!

Really good Mexican food in a cute atmosphere. This place is a little deceiving from the outside but we really enjoyed it! It was cute inside and festive. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious! The menu items were fresh, well - prepared, and reasonably priced (especially given the current rise in food prices). The house strawberry margarita was really tasty as well. Overall, really great meal and experience. If you're looking for tasty Mexican food in the Racine area, highly recommend coming here. Enjoy!

No matter what dinner you order ALWAYS order their table side guacamole. It's fun to watch and even more pleasurable to taste.

I first ate at Javier's when he had a small shop on Durand about 10 years ago. It was excellent then and it is excellent now. I have not had anything there that I did not enjoy. Service was always prompt and friendly. And the salsa with the chips is great

The food, service and ambience is amazing! I highly recommend this awesome place! Their specialty items are the best!

Yes...it's ALWAYS a treat. In 10 plus years of eating there and at the former location, I have never had a bad meal. It should be called Javier's Casa de Sabor. (Javier's House of Flavor). While you can get a substantial amount of heat if you wish, the food flavor is what comes out of the kitchen and makes the meal outstanding.. If you haven't been ....go and treat yourself.
