In my opinion, the best mole in Milwaukee by far. Food is always excellent, even if we'd prefer it with a little more kick at times. Service is outstanding, and consistently that way. The ambiance inside is fun, and I just love the vibe.Had the artichoke mole this trip, and I would highly recommend. Rice and beans are great as well.

Jalapeño Loco is a solid choice, especially for groups! On this visit, I had the Pechuga Poblano with rice and beans. It was good, but not particularly memorable. My fiancé tried the mole from their rotating specials menu and really enjoyed it. We've been here before, and their fajitas and mole oaxaqueño are always a go to--they're fantastic! What truly shines is the phenomenal service; the staff is attentive and friendly, which adds to the experience. Overall, a great spot for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere.

The best of the best. If I could give this business 10 stars, I would!Although a slightly higher price point than other Mexican restaurants in the area, the quality of food is well worth the cost. Every dish is full of complex flavor and high quality ingredients. Their weekly specials are not to be missed. Each and every time I dine here I have a wonderful experience. Servers are kind, professional, & enjoy serving you. The owners are always on site which displays the pride they have in their establishment.This is my top recommendation for anyone looking for fantastic Mexican cuisine.

It's been easily 10 years since my last visit for no other reason than we don't live near this side of town. Today we went out of our way to stop and I'm so glad we did. Service was fantastic. Attentive, accommodating, warm. The drinks--tasty and a solid pour. The star of the show was/is their Cream of Jalapeño Soup. Don't be afraid, get it. It's not spicy. It's rich, creamy, and with multiple notes. There are small chunks of avocado that add to the smooth creaminess. It's really special and a destination dish. I went ala carte and ordered a few things so I didn't have to make a hard decision--steak taco, chicken chimi, chicken enchilada. My husband ordered the Enfrijoladas Oaxaqueñas--two soft corn tortillas filled with shredded chicken and covered with a pasilla chile and black bean sauce topped with queso fresco. It was awesome. If you like fish tacos--try the Baja Fish Tacos--they're amazing. We closed out our meal with complimentary mini Egg Nog Margaritas--you want to say no but the answer should be yes. Don't sleep on this place.

Came here last night for a dinner with friends. I ordered steak tacos which had a generous portion and a vampiro that had a nice kick to it, both were delicious. Our table ordered queso fundido to share and I'd say it was the perfect appetizer. The service is also amazing, very attentive and kind waitstaff. Our order came out pretty quick yet we didn't feel rushed to finish our meal which I really appreciated. The room was also decorated for the holidays which made it very cozy, like we were eating in someone's home. Definitely coming back again soon.

After arriving back in Milwaukee was a very early flight, my family and I were starving. My daughters boyfriend had a craving for tacos, and my son found Jalapeño Loco was close and was opening in 15 minutes, which was perfect timing for us. We arrived just as it opened, were seated, and given baskets of chips with salsa. I ordered a margarita on the rocks first thing (long flight, lol!). I am not the most adventurous eater, so I stuck to my usual cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, and they definitely hit the spot. The portions were large so we had leftovers for lunch the next day. All 6 of us were very satisfied with our meals, but I think the best part of our dining experience was Geraldo (I hope that was his name). He was the gentleman who greeted us and took us to our table. He took our orders and served our table. He was the most friendly, energetic person. The food was delicious, but the service was outstanding. This is on my top list of repeat restaurants.
