Jake's Liquor

Amazing selection. Ridiculously overpriced. He's 15 bucks higher on bourbons you can typically get a hundreds overpriced on the tough ones to get. His 12 year van winkle was a grand higher than I've ever seen it. Keep shopping.

Was supprised that the beer selection was abysmal not much here, was sent here from another business found a bigger selection at Piggy Wiggly. Nice people working here. Small selection probably because of COVID 19 (Lol)

Whenever I'm in need of some nicely priced as well as high quality adult beverages I head to Jake's Liquor store located on s. Business Drive in Sheboygan,WI!!!!

I called ahead, looking for a very hard to find liquor. I was informed by the manager that he had some, all but 1 year. I asked for prices over the phone, and he would not give them to me other than to say they were selling for what they're selling for on the market. I got there, and his prices blew me away! Retail prices are:10 yr 50.00, his price 800.0012 yr 60.00, his price 1,00015 yr, 80.00, his price 1700.0020 yr, 150.00, his price 2500.00This is greed at it's best. It should be illegal. It wasn't even this years batch, it was from last year. He did offer, (after I asked) to knock off 100.00 on the 10 yr, and 500.00 off the 20 yr. He's charging more than ebay! I would not do business with a place like this. Unethical.

This is not the Jake's of yesteryear, and oh wow, is that a fantastic thing. They have the old standard choices, sure, but they also have a mindbogglingly broad assortment of beers from all over. The owner is really nice and great at customer service; even though my husband and I only make it up here a couple times a year or so (to visit friends and family), he always recognizes us and recommends interesting beers to try. The wine and liquor selections are extensive as well. If you're in Sheboygan you absolutely must stop in and be amazed.

Prices were higher than other liquor stores in Sheboygan. Service was good but overpriced.

Price gougers.Example: A hard to find 20 yr. bourbon has a MSRP of $149.99. They have it for $1,999.99! That's 13x! I have another store that gets the same bourbon and will sell for $189.. sure it's a bit higher than MSRP, but supply is limited, so a small price gouge is doable. .. but not over thousand dollars!!!!I politely offered 2x MSRP, but they said some rich guy will come in w/o batting an eye to buy it for $2500. t(-_-t)I'm reporting Jake's to Buffalo Trace to have them removed from receiving the limited supply for these shady practice. I refuse to support a business that operates like this. I hope you do too.

I could not believe how outrageous their prices were (as stated in other reviews). If you're looking at their high-end Bourbons you're better off buying them off of eBay (hundreds to a thousand dollars cheaper). I was willing to pay above market price but 6x what other liquor stores charge is crazy. I couldn't believe a place that felt dirty and gross, like a basement, could have some of the finest bourbons in it. They are trying to rip people off and it's sad.
