Our first visit ever was in July 2024. The grounds alone were well worth the trip. Absolutely beautiful. They have maximized the area in the best ways.We had a large group, but service was great! The food was excellent. With many people in the group, we sampled many things and there was not a disappointing thing in the group. Everyone was satisfied and we had many leftovers. Will definitely return again and again!!

I get the hype! I've been going to the Dells now for 30+ years and never stopped here. Have always heard great things about it but that there is always a massively long wait. Here for our annual sisters trip and this is the last week they are open before closing for the season. We decide we wanted to give this place a try. The bar opens at 3:30pm, dining room 4pm. We got in the already longish line at 2:45. We were early enough to still get a spot in the main lot and not have to cross the street for the overflow lot. They do have a bus to shuttle people back and forth. When we got to the front, they told us they could seat us at 4:15 which we were happy about. We ventured to one of the 4 on-site bars to try what is advertised as the best old fashioned in the state. Definitely liked them, don't drink them enough to know if they are the best but they are reasonably priced at $9. Our buzzer went off and we headed to our table. All tables have a nice view of Mirror Lake. My sister ordered the beef tenderloin medallions and I had the filet mignon with jumbo shrimp. Both meals came with salad, I did upgrade to the wedge salad which had amazing bleu cheese crumbles. My sister also had the baked French onion soup which was delicious. We both got au gratin potatoes for our side. We tacked on an order of mushrooms and onions and holy moly, somebody the best mushrooms and onions we've ever had. We loved our meals. I had their special house red with meal which was great. After eating we decided to head to the beach bar and explore more. We both ordered chocolate martinis to close out our experience. The bartender poured the martinis at our table so there was no chance of me spilling. I would definitely go back and consider just drinks and apps if there is space.

While in Wisconsin Dells we decided to see if Ishnala Supper Club liived up to the hype. We thought it did, even with the four hour wait. While we waited we passed the time by enjoying live music on the beach, visiting the gift shop, and enjoying appetizers and cocktails at the bar. We'd definitely be back, but will more than likely only grab appetizers and drinks at the bar (there's four to choose from!).What we tried:- Appetizers: prime spears, sheimp Ishnala, and the spinach artichoke dip-Entrees: prime rib & jump fried shrimp, filet and butterflied prawn, filet mignon, and golden fried shrimp-Drinks: Wiscollins, Hoffman's chocolatini, classic old-fashioned, and Capital Brewery Supper Club beer

The views are worth the visit. Grab a delicious old fashioned and relax outside. I head straight to the bar and order a drink and app for outside. The prime spears are my favorite app, a rich flavor from the beef that's cooked perfectly, and a good crunch from the asparagus, paired with 2 dipping sauces. The shrimp was good but didn't have as much flavor, could have even used just a little salt.

Bucket list... check! Every year this place is voted as the "best of" everything as far as food, atmosphere and beverages are concerned, so I can't believe it took me this long to finally eat here!Turned off by the summer wait times of 3+ hours, my wife and I decided to try a mid-week after Labor Day visit. It was perfect! About a 45 minute wait, which gave us enough time to enjoy a couple of AWESOME Old Fashion's and check out the building and grounds. Once our buzzer went off we were seated at a table facing Mirror Lake. Ordered some more drinks and our meal. Everyone in the place from bartender to waitresses are super friendly and the dining area, though very busy, seemed like you are eating in a cabin in the north woods. First we shared a crock of French Onion Soup which we loved. Great flavor and the baked cheese was excellent! For our main courses my wife had what I think was called the seafood sampler. It had everything! Lobster tail, salmon, scallops and shrimp. All decent sized portions, and she loved them all! I had a bite of each, and I'd have to say the scallops and lobster were spectacular. I ordered the Prime Rib and Prawns, which was also pretty amazing. I loved the prawns, they split open and baked to perfection. Prime Rib was good, but maybe not the very best I've had, but still up there! Overall this was not just a great meal, it was an experience! One that every foodie, or Wisconsin "Supper Clubber" should experience. Does not disappoint!

Holy cow, who knew this supper-club compound was here!? Apparently everyone but me, because this place was outrageously busy. Like nothing I've ever seen before. We were in town visiting for a camping trip at Mirror Lake and decided to walk from our site to check this place out for a drink. I was blown away - the grounds are huge and it was packed with people. People that were very eager to eat at Ishnala because from the sounds of it, there was a 4+ hour wait for a table! Fear not though, they have plenty to enjoy (and drink) while you wait. The restaurant sits atop of a hill overlooking the lake, providing wonderful views. You can make your way down to the side bar near the sand, where you'll find a surplus of tables, plenty of staff running around with drinks & apps, and even a little stage with live music. On the upper part of the hill, there's tons more outdoor seating amongst the beautiful grounds. Also a mini gift shop that's pretty cute. Overall, fabulous vibes here.We didn't plan to come for dinner (which we were happy about after we found out about these wait times), so we were perfectly pleased with just grabbing a cocktail and checking the place out. And the answer is YES, you should indeed try their infamous old fashioned!Of course we were nosey and still peeked inside the supperclub. How cool! I get why people love the atmosphere here. It's a log-cabin eatery through and through. Your quintessential super club.I feel like I must return here some day for the full dining experience!

We went on a Sunday around 4:30 pm hoping to avoid a long wait and we did! The wait for 2 was 45 min to an hour. Not bad at all! We also did not have to take the shuttle and were able to find parking. We started with some old fashions at the beach. The view was relaxing and peaceful. The servers were really fast and the live music was nice as well. We ordered an appetizer of cheese curds and of course those were fried deliciousness. Highly recommend! We were seated around 50 minutes into the wait and they do move fast but it's so they can get everyone in and out. I had the butterflied shrimp and my date had the prime rib. It was huge! The peanut butter cheesecake to go was out of this world! Perfect balance of chocolate and peanut butter. Would recommend for any Wisconsinite!

Hoping to be wowed...Visited Ishnala on a Thursday night around 6/7, the highly anticipated waited ended up only being an hour or so which was awesome! We went to a couple of the bars, enjoyed a few drinks while watching the sunset. It was beautiful. The drinks here are phenomenal - the votes for best old fashioned aren't lying! Probably the best Brandy old fashioned I've ever had, and I'm not an old fashioned drinker. The views are gorgeous and the atmosphere at Ishnala is very cool, definitely transported back in time to a fun wilderness supper club from the 50s.The service here is excellent, very attentive hosts and wait staff! The only thing giving this place a 3 star instead of 5 is the food... it was nothing to write home about. We spent $150 for two entrees, an app, and two drinks. I was expecting more from my $45 cut of prime rib. Everything was luke warm and lacked flavor. My husband had a similar experience with his rack of lamb, Luke warm and lacking seasoning. The best thing we had was the sunset shrimp cocktail. Now that was hot and full of flavor.I'd recommend coming here for the drinks, the stunning views, and apps - skip the meal experience, it wasn't worth the $$$.

The setting of Ishnala is incredible! It's surrounded by trees and on the water . The service and all waitstaff were top notch. We arrived at 3:30 and there was already a line forming at the door . There is plenty of parking but get there early if you can . However there are plenty of bar areas to wait for your table . The old fashion was delicious! Ishnala is a well oiled machine. The food was good but the excellent service , ambiance and cocktails were what made the place in my opinion. I am looking forward to returning and may sit at the bar and enjoy appetizers, cocktails and the view for my next visit !
