Friday night fish fry with the relatives. Fun brand new building, staff was accommodating and super nice! Loved our waitress! We all had fish dinners from the specials-cod, lake perch, shrimp, and walleye. Great light batter on the fish! Mashed potatoes and gravy were a great option as well! The old fashioneds weren't muddled, but still decent. I would come back!

I've only been here for a Lions cabinet meeting about 2/4 X a year for the past 3 years. Our menu has been the same thing-good and a lot of food. Today the local Lions Club was holding a raffle so we decided to order off the menu. We had a Philly cheesesteak and a cheeseburger with plain and Buffalo tater tots.We split the sandwiches so we each had 1/2. My husband put the order in at the bar and although I wish he had added the tomato/onion/lettuce, the cheeseburger was great without it. It is not often your order a burger medium rare and get it medium rare. That was appreciated. The Philly Cheesesteak was delicious also and the bun was slightly crusty yet light and au jus tasty. The buffalo tater tots were dusted with a seasoning that I did t care for so I only ate one. I preferred the regular ones which were light and crispy as a tot should be. I only wish that they had not pre salted them.

Iron Ridge Inn is the best around for your a prime rib experience, and also a great Buffet. When the weather is right you can sit outside on the patio and have a special treat when the train passes by. Hard to bed and ridge in for quality of food and friendliness and service.

This is a solid four-star experience. We were promptly greeted, seated, and attended by a cheerful waitress. There was a very short wait until our drink order was served and our meal order was taken. Helen and I each ordered the poor-man's lobster. It was perfectly prepared and presented. The salad bar had three greens offerings with a emphasis that was not on iceberg lettuce; a half dozen dressings and a good mix of add-ons. All appeared fresh and those we selected were both fresh and flavorful. This turned into a great Friday night out. Our only sour note was the talk at the four-top next to ours was audible discussion of health care problems that seemed to be a one-up man's contest. But, management has no control over that.

My wife and I have enjoyed several visits to The Iron Ridge Restaurant over the last decade. Prior to 2019, their salad bar was enough to draw us in for a light dinner. Special events drew us in for Steaks, Prime Rib, other great dinners. Yesterday evening we were nearby and decided to splurge. The hostess greeted us and seated us immediately. Rosie, our waitress was attentive, friendly, and efficient. My wife ordered a vegetarian pasta Entre, and I ordered a rib eye steak - medium. The ambience was excellent, Soup and bread sticks were wonderful, Helen enjoyed her meal, and my $35 steak was delivered seriously charred, as tough as shoe leather, and lacking any color. It cut like a block of wood, and contributed no juice other than that of the broth on the side. The cook had transformed a beautiful piece of meat into a exercise tool for the jaw.[see my earlier review dated 2018]

Management is well aware of the issues our small family event experienced. It would have been a much better experience if we would have been served ALL of the food we paid for: each guest should have received a plated, 1/2 chicken dinner with four pieces of chicken each, rather than most guests receiving two pieces of chicken- most with a thigh and wing or thigh and leg. Only 10 people out of a group of 31 had a breast and one other piece of meat. Very disappointing. The room rental of $150 returned doesn't cover the cost of shorting our group 44 pieces of chicken. We will not be back, and neither will most of our guests.

Ordered the Porterhouse Special medium rare. 28oz for $35. Chose to make it Surf and Turf for an additional $20. I'm not upset about the price. I have no problem paying good money for good food. The steak was well done and i got 2 scallops that had no sear and chewed like a basketball!! 10 dollars a scallop!!!, they better be perfect!! Nice bar area other than not impressed!!
