My family has been going to Innovation for years now for their Friday Fish Fry. We love the salad bar while you wait, as well as the option to mix baked and fried fish, and to get additional helpings. However, this past Friday was a let down. The salad bar was ok, but the hush puppies were all cold. As for our food, most of the fried items were really dark and burnt, and I'm surprised our waitress felt comfortable bringing them out to us. We assumed that they had neglected to change the oil in the fryers, so I asked for different potato pancakes and additional pieces of fried cod. Those came out better. As for the side of green beans, I agree with Sue's review-- they were horrible! Cold and tasteless. Such a waste. Also, the baked cod was really dry. It used to be really delicious, but I could not bring myself to finish it.Still, I will give them 3 stars because overall, I've had good experiences here, and the service is always friendly and helpful. But I will be hesitant to return for my next fish fry experience.

This was Our first time at this restaurant. We came for Mother's Day brunch which was $35 a person. I knew it was going to be a train wreck when we entered because they didn't have any signage and there were people everywhere. We walked up to the restaurant counter only to be told that we had to go back to the front of the hotel and start there at to check in. Once we were checked in they had us go to the hotel front desk and pay for the brunch upfront including tip. We were shuffled into a banquet room and seated at a table for 10 and our party was five people. The buffet was large and there were several selections but the only good thing about the day.The service was terrible we had to flag people over to take a drink order and when we had a waitress she advise us of that the drink choices were water and juice. Other tables had mimosas, soft drinks and coffee. We had to ask the manager for a milk for my kid.We had to clean up our own dishes. They served crab legs but didn't have the proper utensils. People were throwing away full crabs because of that. When we asked for the small fork we were told they had them but they didn't have enough.Precharged 18% tip for nothing. Absolutely terrible. We will never go back.

I got the walleye which was served nice and hot but it simply wasn't good. A little over cooked and a lot of butter. If I'm at the hotel I'll get something else next time.

For a restaurant being in a hotel, it was actually good. I had good service from the start except for when it was time to pay for my bill. I wouldn't mind coming back but it can be pricey depending on what you order. Also in restaurant in " Open Table App " where you can get points for eating at various restaurants.

This is the first time I've ever reviewed a restaurant but I felt it was necessary. I'm a guest in the Crowne plaza that this restaurant is in. This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. Went in there with four other coworkers who are all staying at the hotel and service was atrocious. Wasn't just me all of us agreed we were ready to walk out and not pay our bill it was that bad. I can't believe a chain like Holiday Inn/ Crowne Plaza would let such a poorly managed restaurant be in their hotel. I don't even want to give it one star but I can't post a review without giving it a star.

Well, I am staying at the Crowne Plaza and decided to order a hand made pizza from Innovations for the fair price of $14.95... after having the pizza delivered to my room, somehow the fair price of 14.95 is now inflated to $20+ dollars with a room service fee that is no where listed on the advertisement... That was my initial shock with the second one being that the pizza was awful. Undercooked, bland and really just not good at all. Pretty disappointed because outside of this experience, the hotel has been great.

Meh. Cute decor, but that's about it. Our server took forever to greet us, then knew nothing to answer our questions. I ended up just getting the breakfast buffet which included waffles (dried out), bacon/patties/links (cheap and pretty greasy), scrambled eggs (didn't eat any), american hashbrowns (cubed frozen potatoes loaded with salt kept lukewarm) and a toast area. Nothing really great about any of it. Mom got an omelet that looked fine, and her hashbrowns were fresh and crispy as they should be. While there TWO other tables around us sent their food back - one for being made incorrectly and one for the omelet being cold in the middle. On our one gracious check back (after I'd finished mine) Mom asked for a water refill. 10 minutes later with no action she actually had to physically go up to the server station and ask the manager himself.Service was bad, food wasn't great, not returning.

Awful pizza and misleading advertising. Staying here in the Crowne Plaza and decided to take advantage of ad in our room. Gourmet Homemade Pizza, it is not. Bland, undercooked, canned sauce, and minimal toppings is just the beginning. Ad stated $14.95 for first, $9.95 for additional pizzas. $25 plus tax sounds right. But it was almost $35 after adding service charge and gratuity. None of that was included on the advertisement. $35 for roller rink pizza is unthinkable. I was not offered or given a receipt either making it appear that they were just screwing me. And when I questioned it, it was explained in a condescending manner with no apology for the misleading ad or miscommunication. Absolutely Horrible food, and worse customer service!

This place is surprising good for a hotel restaurant. The cheese curds, a Wisconsin staple, were impressive as was the Beef Braised Ravioli! The bartender is always attentive and full of stories. To sum up, if you stay at this hotel rest assure that you can get a really good meal without having to get in your car.
