Disclaimer - I ordered delivery so I can't speak to the actual restaurant. Plus: *Chana chicken curry - I love this option! It's essentially Chana masala with chicken added and it's absolutely delicious. Lots of flavor and plenty spicy at "medium"*Chicken biryani - there's a lot of crappy biryanis out there. This is NOT one! Fluffy rice, plenty of chicken and lots of spice flavors. Equal to Anmol IMO and among the nicest biryanis I've had.*Good potions and plenty of meat. Especially the biryanis which could easily feed 2-3Neutral:*Tandoori roti was perhaps a little underdone & gummyNegative:*I don't have 2 stomachs to eat more! Oh well, I have leftovers for several meals. Indian Village is probably my new go to!

NEW FAVORITE! Was on the hunt for some later evening eats (9pmish) on a Thursday evening and found this spot was open until 10pm. Hurray! My dining companion and I were able to be seated immediately. They have a full bar but no specialty cocktail list. They can make a Wisconsin old fashioned but their tending skills don't go too far beyond that. That said, our server was absolutely willing to give making a Manhattan a try (what a gem!). We told him how to make it and he used an Indian brand of whiskey and for a first attempt--it was all cherry garnished goodness. For our meal, my dining companion and I shared some garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and aloo gobi. All was outstanding but the two shining stars of the show were the garlic naan (delish!) and their chicken tikka masala (out of this dang world). The chicken tikka masala was perfectly balanced with the most gorgeous mix of spices lending to a gloriously flavorful dish. One of the best chicken tikka masala dishes I've had anywhere. Our server was delightful, accommodating, and absolutely lovely in every way.If you haven't yet, you need to go.Get to it!

My husband and I visited the Indian Village Restaurant in Greenfield recently while visiting Milwaukee area for a special event! We decided to come here because of high reviews but we were honestly disappointed! The food is ok here. I thought the prices were slightly too high for some of the menu items when I have been to many other Indian restaurants that had way better food for slightly cheaper prices in comparison. However, Indian Village restaurant has a great large selection of Vegetarian menu options such as Vegetable Pakora, Saag Paneer, and vegetarian Samosas. They also had a great diverse menu of different types of meat dishes such as Chicken Tandoori, Goat Curry, and Fish Curry! We tried the Butter Chicken, Lamb Shahi Korma, and Garlic Naan! My husband was honestly disappointed in the Butter Chicken which is his absolute favorite and orders frequently from Indian restaurants in our home town. My husband thought the Butter Chicken was ok but mostly bland with the chicken meat under seasoned almost like the chicken wasn't seasoned first and just mixed into cream sauce hoping the sauce would carry all the flavor. I tried it and also thought it was pretty bland for Indian cuisine! My Lamb Shahi Korma wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked it to be but it was still good with a beautiful rich comforting texture which was cooked in a lovely cream sauce, herbs, and had cashews. Our dishes had stunning beautiful presentation though! We thought the service was ok. The server was a little slow when it wasn't busy at all and our server's customer service was mediocre. Overall, like I said before the food was ok nothing super special and slightly overpriced for the quality and taste of the food. This place does stay open a little later until 10 pm which was a positive but I am hoping to keep searching for better Indian cuisine options in the Milwaukee area.

Indian Village has been my favorite restaurant for 5+ years. I have brought all of my friends and family here, and everyone loves it! They have remodeled within the last year and it is beautiful. It is family owned and everyone is welcoming and helpful if you are unsure about what to order. The restaurant is open until 10 which is hard to find in Greenfield. They are also on Doordash and don't upcharge The menu can be overwhelming if you are a newbie. Try the Gobi Manchurian for an appetizer. Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken are the most loved dishes. My current favorite is Kadai Chicken. There is an abundance of vegetarian options - I recommend Chana Masala. I have yet to try something I don't like!

Decent Indian food. No frills dining area. Service is casual and pretty efficient. Full bar. Food is good but price to quality ratio seems a bit off. Not a destination but an acceptable choice if in area.

We love love love this place and it's our go to Indian place in the area. The Gobi Manchurian appetizer is super good as is their complimentary sauces and papa. The tamarind sauce is the best! The butter chicken is fantastic. Smooth and creamy and delicious. The tandoori chicken is great too and so are the vindaloo dishes.

I used to travel all around India for business, so when my teenage daughter wanted to finally try authentic Indian food, we decided to try Indian Village. I was VERY impressed!! She ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan, and I got the aloo gobi (cauliflower and potato's). They ask if you want it prepared mild, medium, or spicy.. for mine I chose spicy, and then they ask 0-10 (I was happy with my selection of 8, but accustomed to very spicy, plus ordered a Mango Lassi just in case lol). All the food was very fresh and flavorful, and the service was friendly and prompt! They mentioned opening a new location in Waukesha with drive thru service. Highly recommend to anyone, and pleasantly surprised to find this true authentic gem in my backyard (Greenfield)!
