Indian Village Restaurant and Bar

The food is just fantastic. The sauces are so flavorful, the rice is done just right, the naan is fresh baked. Every dish we've had there has been delicious.

We came to Indian Village for the first time to meet up with some friends. The restaurant itself is cute inside, with lots of tables & minimal decor. I was surprised to see the fancy glasses & cloth napkins, since they also had a drive thru, but overall it looks nice. The server we had was very helpful, although it took quite a while to get our check when we were done (after being one of 2 occupied tables). I think it was mostly a politeness thing, where they didn't want to rush us out?I got my usual dish, Paneer Tikka Masala, at a medium spice level (medium out of 3: mild, medium, or hot). They definitely pander to more of a midwestern palate, the medium wasn't very spicy. That being said, though, the portion sizes were large & there were lots of chunks of paneer & veggies. The curry was a bit sweeter than I'm used to, but not in a bad way. The garlic naan was delicious, it was both crackery/crispy & chewy, with lots of fresh tasting garlic. I would absolutely come back here, especially since they have a slick drive thru!

Lovely new spot in Waukesha! Dined here for lunch with a friend. I ordered the butter chicken, medium spice level, and we shared naan. She ordered a vegetarian chickpea dish, also medium spice level. We both loved our meals. Service was attentive, but we did not receive our bill and I had to ask for it eventually. Would definitely return. Glad to have a great Indian restaurant in the area!

First time here. Visiting family and they brought me here. Everything was very tasty. I had the goat korma and a couple different naan breads. Will come back when in town this fall and bring Jim with.

This place opened Saturday so decided to get takeout.Called in my order and was able to pick up through the drive through. Got my two favorite go to Indian dishes Butter Chicken and Saag Paneer along with some garlic naan.The portions are really good size and definitely shareable.You can get the spicy level from 0-10. Got a 7 and an 8. Solid heat but not unbearable. So glad this opened in Waukesha so I don't have to drive far when I want Indian. If you've never had Indian definitely give this place a shot.

Waukesha has been waiting for a restaurant like this for a while. The food was phenomenal,the service was outstanding and we ordered more to go.I cannot wait to be on first name basis with the owners. Go go go just go and have your own experience, don't miss out.

Food is great. Service was greatBut the portions are absolutely tiny for the price and the nann for 5 bucks is delicious, but an expensive add on when some places include that in the meal. I figure 2 chicken thighs were used in my butter chicken.. 2! That, a little sauce, and a scoop of rice is just plain not worth like 18 bucks. It wasn't even a plate full of food. Sorry... but I can't come back given that it took 65 dollars with tip to feed 2 people, both of whom left still hungry

WOW! Outstanding Indian cuisine in Waukesha!It's one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever eaten in. It's a family restaurant. Prices are reasonable. Son Jimmy Is your waiter, very efficient, and kind. His mother, Shir, is a phenomenal chef. Your food is made fresh to order, and Shir will prepare it to your desired heat level. My best friend lives here in Waukesha; I live in Virginia, not too far from DC. She has dietary restrictions, so we ate a vegetarian dinner, and it was so, so good. We had vegetable pakoras (fritters), the best I have ever had. We also enjoyed Gobi Aloo (potatoes & cauliflower) and Malai Kofta (meatless "meatballs" in a creamy sauce). Accompanied by some Kashmiri naan, it was all delicious.A couple of notes: I travel a lot for my small business, and partake of Indian food if I can when I am on the road. My husband and I are huge Indian food aficionados. I wish he had been here, because I know he would've enjoyed the restaurant, too. And I wished I lived in the area, so that I could eat my way through their menu.

The food is amazing and the staff is so kind! The flavors of the food are complex and rich. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Waukesha!

for a more more casual setting, food is good! I'm from MI so I thought pricing was a bit higher than what I've been dining (Indian cuisines), but was a fair portion. flavors and balance was good. Dinners seem to include your beverage, so that really makes it fairly priced... but many fancy, "upscale" Indian resturants with the exact same price point, setting is part of the dining experience.the bathroom is outside... was this an old gas station building..? LOL Anyway, much to my surprise, they had the bathroom nicely painted, updated, decorated and clean! Great job! it is weird it's outside though. LOLI don't drink Coke - the included beverage with my dinner, so I asked for hot tea. My server Jimmy made me a hot chai tea... it was an Indian style chai tea, and it was VERY VERY NICE! I definitely enjoyed my entire meal, service was very good and food came out quickly and hot.Nice job! I will be back before I leave back for MI and I would say from all the restaurants I've been trying in my three week stay, there is only one other one I will be sure to dine again at before I leave!DEFINITELY nice food & NICE SEEVICE! And CLEAN! I would put another half star, but this site doesn't allow me! Nearly perfect, but almost nothing is "perfect" which is the only reason I give this place 4.5 rating!!
