I came in for dine in with someone and we were seated promptly. There were two people waiting for their carry out orders and they were receiving several calls. When it came time for us to order she seemed very rushed. Turns out it was only one cook and her so I understand why she was stressed. I ordered my meal and then I was gonna get some appetizers and when I started asking for said appetizer she said no and walked away. We weren't even done ordering. We decided to stay after that just to see if at least the food was good. The food was alright but i think the customer service really messed up my experience.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in North Chicago, not only is the food cooked fresh and to order but mainly because of the owner. She is hardworking. Im pretty sure it is just her working there. She is the nicest person and is personable. This has been my family's go-to place since I was young. Every time we call in the order, she already knows and makes sure to ask about the family and how we are. I've actually never ate inside, there are a few tables, but my experience is always take out. Depending on when you order it, it can be a bit of a wait. Call ahead. Food is usually pretty good. My go to is the general tso chicken. Among my others is the pepper steak ,swzchewan chicken, and chicken fried rice. Recently started getting the dinner combo. Great price for the amount of food. Service is what keeps me coming back.

Service is top notch. When I order the food is always ready and piping hot. It's so nice when you are remembered as a customer. I love that personal touch. I usually have the carry out option but the restaurant is spacious and well decorated on the walls. If you're craving Chinese food this is a great place to started. Enjoy

This place is dirty and I have no idea how they stay in business. The food is very greasy and tastes awful. Service is a hit and miss, you might have to wait a while to be seen. Do not recommend

Really bad experience here. I saw the mixed reviews and was eager to give this place a chance. The beginning of my arrival was perfectly mediocre; one overworked waitress, was seated in a dingy dining room with only three regular tables, one of which was dirty with the waitress' personal items and food. But it quickly went from just okay, to straight up bad. NONE of the food was good. The crab rangoon was lazily prepared with a huge chunk of imitation crab carelessly tossed in with some cream cheese. Chicken was watery, rice was old, soup was tasteless and lukewarm. After the waitress delivered our food, we never saw her again. She never came back to refill drinks, she never asked if we needed anything, she never cleared plates, offered a to-go box, or offered to bring the bill. We both ended up eating all the ice out of our water glasses purely due to thirst. After an entire THIRTY MINUTES (yes, thirty actual minutes, we had a text timestamp) of being ignored by the waitress, I got up and went behind the counter and got us takeout containers from the shelf. We packaged up our own leftovers and went to the front to attempt to pay. We rang the bell and waited about 4min for the waitress to come out of the back and ring us up. Bear in mind, the entire time we were being ignored, the waitress was audibly taking carry-out orders over the phone. She was fine, she was working, but I guess considered her in-house guests less important than her phone orders. Which, I could possibly forgive, IF this had been some hidden gem, home-cooked-with-love food. But it wasn't. It was very standard, very low-quality, cheaply and carelessly-prepared, Chinese takeout. Not a good meal, and the leftovers ended up going in the trash. We will absolutely not return to try any other dishes. For the people who (incomprehensibly) want to order takeout from here... Well, first of all, why? But I'd recommend Tokyo @ siam, Ming Toy, or even freaking Panda Express as nearby options with better quality. Why do you enable bad businesses like this?

An okay chinese take out better than other around the area. The employee is really nice. Food was okay but not great.

I ordered a Chicken and Broccoli lunch special. The restaurant manager was so nice, and attentive. Sadly. My order lacked flavor; and i received the wrong type of rice. I had asked for white, and I got fried; which also lacked flavor.I did receive my order promptly, and courteously. For what I received, I thought it was priced too high.I ordered carry out, however, they do provide a dining room.

I ordered the Yanchow Special and it was a HIT! So much flavor and so delicious, it has a variety of chicken, shrimp, and pork along side some veggies and served with crispy noodles. The lunch special is something I will always come back for, great price and delicious. I got the seafood combination with plain fried rice, a crab Rangoon, and hot sour soup. The food comes out super quick and piping hot!Service was A1, they are attentive to your needs and make sure you're taken care of.

Food was meh. My rice smelt really burnt and tasted like it as well. Customer service was great though!! I think it was just too early. Food came out early (probably why rice was burnt) I'm going to give them another try and update
