We thought we had a good amount of steamed clams when they came out. The amount of empty shells we got mixed in was astounding.

As far as buffets are concerned, Hunan is doing something right!I come here when I need a sushi fix without the sushi price. They make it fresh, I have never had a fishy tasting piece of sushi, and there's a decent variety for a Chinese buffet offering. Usually my first round is just for sushi alone.They also offer Raman! It's really good!! They even give you the marinated egg. Well, half of one anyways haha!I recommend going for lunch to save a little money. They have everything I eat for dinner on the lunch menu. Not even sure what they put out at dinner that's different, but I'm sure they have extra stuff.All in all, it's a Chinese buffet. But it's good! Affordable! And enough food offerings to keep me coming back at least once a week. Sometimes even twice ^_^I hope they never close because then I have to cross the state line to get the next best buffet option over in Kenosha.Show these people some love and down with them today!

Pleasantly surprised. Great variety and decent food for a buffet. Sushi, boiled salmon, broccoli chicken, soups, etc. Something for everyone. Friendly service. I'll be coming back.

Visitamos este local 3 personas. El lugar es de ambiente casual, amplio, con buena selección de comida (deberían incluir música de fondo). Todo lo que probamos estaba muy delicioso, sin exceso de aceite. El lugar es un poco oscuro sin decoración moderna, algo en lo que deberían trabajar para que sea más atractivo para la clientela. El sushi estaba fresco, al igual que la selección de frutas. Algunas áreas, entiendo que deberían tener más cuidado con la limpieza, incluyendo las salsas (foto incluida) y con containers de la sal y pimienta; estaban sucios y al parecer no reciente, porque nosotras fuimos al momento en que abrieron el local y estaban así ya. El servicio es más o menos, ya que también deben trabajar en no apurar a los clientes cuando están comiendo a pagar, ya que la prioridad es que disfruten la comida para que puedan desear volver, no tener a una persona parada frente a ti esperando a que pagues.

The third time trying out this restaurant on our trip to Chicago! Ate the fried dumplings, Bourbon Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Fried Rice, Sushi rolls, Chicken Egg Roll, Broccoli and a few other items from the Buffet. All of the foods tasted pretty good. Liked the variety of selection. Just wish there were labels for the Sushi, though. Other than that, the table service was good. Got drinks in a timely manner. Another nice time here!

We went up to Gurnee to see my wife's friend. They bought a house. After a tour of the house they invited us out to dinner @ Hunan Hibachi Buffet. This is a Chinese buffet. They are in an area where there really isn't much in the way of food options. I don't mean to be an ingrate but the food wasn't very good. I guess we're just spoiled by the food in Chicago. I mean it wasn't terrible first when going through the door we were seated quickly. The food was pretty good and had a good variety of different kinds of soup sushi extra. The only down side was the women serving kept hurrying us to leave by putting the check at the table while we were still eating and glaring at us when passing by. Which made my family uncomfortable.

Twice I have gone here with friends and twice has the waitresses stand right next to our table as we sign our check making us feel uncomfortable and stares hard as the check is being signed. The second time our buddy did not enjoy the service due to the lack of filling up our drinks so the tip was left, waitress still goes and ask if the tip will be cash then. Good food, tip demanding servers.

I dont know how this buffet is still operating. The food is terrible, all the food is lacking flavor, less selection and most of all when you go there for late lunch they take you in but when you reach the dinner time there will be only certain food you can eat, it means the selection is way less than when you came in. The lady that was serving us was okay. Took forever to give us water, but its fine whatever. One thing I did not like is after I pay the bill with cash she told me make sure to leave me a tip! Which I was about to do but my husband is in the bathroom and my cash is not enough for a tip. But I didnt like the ways she said it, its like a demand. They need better training for the staff. The place has a very slippery floor so be careful, the person who was mopping was splashing water all over near the food, this place smells musty also. I will Never going back there again.

Decent buffet, good variety. They could take better care of the bathroom (that's where they lose a star) Buffet includes everything, including fresh made sushi and custom made hibachi bowls. Fruit is fresh. Plenty of deserts. Food selection has a mix of Asian dishes and American. I love their Jalapeno Chicken, one of the reasons I go back. They have a cooler of ice cream cups which are part of the buffet, unless you take one to go, then it's an extra buck. It's a buffet, so don't expect gourmet food. But as far as buffets go, it's pretty good. I believe they also have a regular menu you can order from. Parking is plentiful. Worth checking out.

Customer service is pretty terrible to be honest. The servers aren't very attentive but regardless it's a pretty good place to eat dinner. The sushi is delicious at least in my opinion. The place looks old but it feels very comforting in a way. Anyways I would recommend to try it out.
