Hometown Sausage Kitchen

I frequent the Delevan farmers market at boxed and burlap and was introduced to Hometown sausage. I bought Corned beef which was great. And I bought the Bacon jam/dressing which sounded amazing. Upon returning home the next day I noticed expiration date was May 2017. What on earth. You are selling products that expired TWO years ago? Beyond acceptable in my world. I just went back to the farmers markets exchange it . And the same lady that I bought it from acted like what is the big deal. She said she would have a "fresh" batch in two weeks. And the by the way it will be double the price. I am not sure what world people feel two year old products are acceptable but clearly now I will question all the products. No compensation, no I am sorry. But please come back for a current batch in two weeks and pay double. OMG!!!

Amazing pork products! Tom and John make the absolute best bacon and sausages. Every time I stock up there my only regret is that I didn't buy even more!

These guys are the real deal with a back ground in the culinary arts, they consider themselves starving artists. They have taken their respective backgrounds both east and west coasts, western Europe and infused their meats with local style. The meat is not prepackaged, is sourced from local farms and is reasonably priced. They will cater your event or you can just go to their store and buy it prepare it or have them flavor it and sous vide it for you and just warm it up at home on the grill 5 or so minutes each side. If you have been to one of the new restaurants in Milwaukee you have probably had some of their meat. They private label as well. It is just an awesome place to get really great meat with no antibiotics and ready to go. I had them prepare a heritage pig for us that we affectionately called Wilber. That was the absolutely best fresh pork and ham we ever ate.

We have driven past and finally stopped in and the owners were very helpful. They helped us decide what to purchase and told us a great recipe for the chicken sausages. It was WONDERFUL and so simple.They will also be offering cooking classes in the future.We will be stopping by often.

Loved this place, will have to go back. It's run by 2 CIA trained chefs with a passion for sausage making combining classic techniques with modern methods & a real flair for flavor combinations. They have super high quality local ingredients as they cooperate with southern Wisconsin sources that have the same philosophies. They are really nice guys who take the time to talk to the customers & offer great suggestions on cooking & pairing their products. We bought bacon & 3 kinds of sausage, plus farm fresh eggs. Prices were very reasonable considering the quality & less than I expected to pay. We have only eaten 1 flavor of sausage so far it was fabulous, just as described. We also enjoyed the bacon & eggs, loved the flavored bacon & the eggs were amazing too.

Great place, mostly wholesale but have nice selection of sausages. No credit/debit cards accepted so I bought a qt. of chilli frozen. Outstanding. A lb. of bacon and some ground beef. The sausages are the main event. Guy behind counter was very friendly and helpful. I'm going back soon for some packer brats as they have spinnich and actually look green and gold! 1st. Class operation

Tom and John are awesome and suggest plenty of cooking ideas for a great meal. Their selection can be limited in the retail window but I have never been dissatisfied on the quality. The Packer brat is one of my favorite along with their bacon and steaks. Their pork is produced locally so certain cuts can be limited so call ahead for them to reserve your needs. Cheers and wish them much success! I am glad to see the Hometown continue in East Troy and supporting small businesses.

You can eat here or buy your food to cook at home. We celebrated our son's rehearsal dinner in the gazebo that they have set up for parties. The food was delicious, the setting spectacular, and our hosts very welcoming.
