Hometown Meats

Stopped by after a 10 year hiatus...what was I thinking? Still great after all those years. Got a #5 sandwich to go and some spicy, tender, jerky to share with my wife...she loved it. We also got a pound and a half of pulled BBQ pork...very good--sweet & smoky, as well as some cilantro lime pasta salad. Everything was perfect! The counter personnel were friendly, helpful and funny. The counter was clean, neat and easy to shop, even the dried spices. 100% will return in the near future. This place is well worth the hop, skip and a jump into SE Wisconsin from Illinois. Plus the gas was waaaay cheaper there at the adjoining BP. Go and be a cheesehead for the day!

Classic, locally-owned deli located within a butcher shop, attached to a gas station I come here for the deli sandwiches ever since Kenosha's well known local sub shops all closed. The fresh Italian bread along with their freshly cut meats and cheeses is worth a visit alone - none of the national chain sub shops could ever compare. The staff was nice and helpful, willing to accommodate special requests (I didn't have any but the people behind me did and they were nice about it). Can't wait to come back and try some of their meats.

Nice to have a local market to purchase good quality meats. I've shopped here 3 times now and have been pleased with the products and services.

Hired Hometown Meats to cater my husbands 70th birthday celebration. They did a fabulous pig roast served over 120 people. The guests were raving Fabulous food everyone kept raving about the sides as well great Cole slaw .

Amazing sandwiches and also all the meat is great from the deli. Super good brats amazing bacon and everything else is super solid. Honestly I think they are the best cold meat sandwiches in Kenosha hands down love the Italian bread

Pricey but good quality. My favorites from here are the beef jerky and the baked beans. (Omgosh... these baked beans are AMAZING) My family LOVES the deli sandwiches. I enjoy the quality of meat. When I'm a pinch and I need a quick dinner, I go to the stuffed chicken breasts & twice baked potato. We've had them smoke a pig for us once and it was outstanding. So whether you're looking for a quick dinner to prepare or on the road sandwich...It's definitely worth going to check out!

Hometown Meats and Deli Shop has amazing sandwiches and subs. The ingredients are of high quality and fresh. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The meat market section looks super cool with all their meats neatly lined up. Definitely picture-worthy.

I catered my husband's birthday party for about 40 people. I loved that I could customize and purchase by the pound, rather than by total number of people- much more affordable way to cater. Sue, the catering manager was great- she actually talked me into spending less money (less total pounds) and we had PLENTY. Everything was delicious- Pulled pork, baked beans, mac and cheese, potato salad. I'm from out of town, but my husband's whole family lives in and around Racine. They were impressed and I suggested they go check out the awesome butcher counter. I will be voting for Hometown Meats for future family gatherings!

We are 4 generations of both customer & butcher! Yep, FOUR GENERATIONS!!! The first taught us that you may pay a bit more in price (not much higher) BUT the quality is so much better and less shrinkage when cooked, so actually is a bargain.This summer a fifth generation will be introduced. They're from out of State & finally old enough to eat & appreciate the great meats to be had here. I still call them L&M meats & have followed them through a few changes of addresses. Am I a stalker? Yes!

Bought steaks and pork chops. Grilled them juicy, tender, delicious! Great meat cuts.
