Heybeck's Meat Market and Gourmet Catering

This place is wonderful. Great butcher! They also do catering. I'm so thankful to have Brook to assist with our yearly thanksgiving. Home made with love and most importantly was delicious! We picked it up and warmed it up. Wonderful!!!

I am pretty much a regular at this butcher shop at this point, so I figured an update was in order. The employees all know me by now, and will cut whatever I want when I call in advance. You would be hard pressed to find a better shop in Chicagoland that consistently has such great quality. I am a bit of a pain in the ass when it comes to meat cuts, and these folks have always accommodated me, no matter how bizarre my request. Their dry aged brisket cuts are pretty much the standard by which all others should be measured, and trust me when I tell you that proper prep goes a long way when you are actually putting the meat to the fire. They cut meat with the smoker or grill chef in mind. While brisket cuts account for most of my visits to Meeske's, they are hardly a slacker in other areas. You can get a 2 1/2 inch ribeye or porterhouse here that will rock your brains out if you are so inclined, and actually at a lower price point than you will find at places like Mariano's. Meeske's has been my secret weapon for bad ass brisket for awhile now, but the meat easting public also deserves to know how great these folks throw down. If you are a fan of meat, this place is a no brainer. Always on point with quality and staff that is more than up to the challenge no matter what your special request might be.

I really wanted to like this place, but everything here is overpriced. Although it is less than 5 minutes from my house, I would rather drive 40 minutes to Paulina Meat Market in the city. Their prices are lower and their quality is off the charts.

We had a Pig roast for Grama's 90th Birthday- planned to invite approx. 75 guests. When we originally booked the date we were told that Haybeck's would handle EVERYTHING- They were ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! They did all the decorating - fresh flowers & tablecloths, prepared all the side dishes - red potatoes, vegetables, huge fruit salad and the best pork we have ever eaten. Everyone raved about the food! The Chef, Bartender and 2 servers were all dressed very professional and were SUPER NICE! They cleaned up everything when they were done / my kitchen was spotless! I actually got to enjoy the party! I would give them 10 STARS if I could- they are AWESOME!!!! Worth every penny! The Anstedt's Hawthorn Woods, IL.

I went there for the first time last week as I am new to the area. The guy behind the counter was not friendly and he and the other person working there were not wearing masks. If Heybeck's doesn't care about my health, I'll take my business elsewhere. Never going back.

Wanted to like this place, who wouldn't with all of its vacuum sealed fare. On 3 separate occasions I have bought their prime filet mignon. The 1st time I felt that the meat was average, not of prime caliber. The 2nd time was less than average. I felt that a chance was warranted, so I gave them a 3rd try. Foolish me there is no way that this beef is prime. PRIME beef should melt in your mouth, not at Haybecks you have to exercise your jaw muscles. Point said, I have had GREAT filets from Heinens and Marianos even though I was raised with the premise that you don't by quality meats at a grocery store.

Heybeck's meat is fresh and they have a nice variety. Their hamburgers/ground meat is tasty and tender. Service is friendly and informative.

I Just made the best pork loin I have ever tasted. Thanks for the grilling instructions. High quality meats and helpful service. I'm glad this place is in my town.
