Came back again for breakfast and tried the bagel and lox. One word... DELICIOUS! Service is always friendly and amazing!

So glad I listened to my friend who suggested this deli in Walkers Point. Freshly made subs and a variety of bagels to choose from. They even have a pickle bagel! Which I will have to try next time. Family owned staff who are always friendly and super helpful. There are a few tables inside the establishment but I took my sub to go! Forsure my go to deli in the Milwaukee area!

Wow this place is my food soulmate. I knew you were the one when I saw the menu primarily consists of bagels and tortas. All I need in life! Cute little hole in the wall (my Milwaukee peeps know this used to be soup bros. Definitely missed, but a worthy replacement has taken root). Friendly service. AMAZING BAGELS and Tortas!!!! I love tortas and I love Al pastor but a lot of Mexican places have questionable meat IMO. Not hens- you can tell the meat quality is superior- not a bunch of fat and gristle. Nice and tender and flavorful. And I love that the torta comes stacked with all things that are good- tomato, avocado, pinto beans, jalapeños, and salsa verde. ¡Yes please! Portion size is solid, too; I had no problem finishing my torta and I was satisfied, and I have a pretty healthy appetite. Also, perfect wrapping on the torta to keep the drips at bay- I only needed to use one napkin compared to my usual 100. I haven't tried the other sandwiches they offer yet, but a family sat near me with theirs and they looked loaded and delicious, too. Can't wait to come back to try them. Lastly, I love that they have many different bagel flavors (not just "everything" and "plain"). Jalapeño bagel? Say no more.

Found this little hidden gem when we wanted a quick sandwich on our way to the airport. The pastrami sandwich was the best I've had! The staff was super nice and I'm excited to return and try their home made bagels soon.

Normally I'm at work during the week by the time Hen's Deli opens at 8am, so I had't had the chance to try them yet. On this day, though, I was working the later shift, which gave me enough time to stop at Hen's Deli before work. I ordered the breakfast sandwich (two eggs, American cheese, and choice of bacon or sausage) on a garlic bagel with bacon for the meat.I'm not super adventurous when it comes to bagels, so I was torn between pretty basic ones like plain, salted, and garlic. The person working the register said she would go with garlic, so I took her advice. The bagel was good by itself and fresh in quality with plenty of garlic flavor, but maybe a little too much for the breakfast sandwich. I thought the garlic overpowered the bacon, egg, and cheese and I had to brush a portion of the garlic off to be able to taste the rest of it. If I come back, I'd go with salted or plain instead.

One year later, and after several more visits, I'm upgrading my rating. My sandwiches have been consistently delicious, and the service has been consistently excellent!On my two most recent visits: (yesterday), I ordered their Torta of the Day, which was made with spare rib meat seasoned with Brazilian spices, avocado, pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, salsa verde, and mayo, and (today) their meatball sub, which I'm told is typically offered on Thursdays and sometimes Fridays if there are meatballs leftover. Luckily I was able to get the Meatball Sub today! I had mine topped (actually was on the roll under the meatballs, which worked great!) and banana peppers because I'm not a hot giardiniera guy. The Brazilian Spare Rib meat had great flavor and tender texture. All of the toppings worked well together, but I think the brilliant addition of salsa verde really brought it all home. LOVED it! My photos didn't do it justice.The meatballs in my sub today were firm the way I like them, so either all beef, or possibly a little pork mixed in. I find that more pork in the mixture results in softer (mushier) texture, which I don't care for, so these made me happy. The marinara sauce was a nice balance of sweet and spicy, but really tasty, and the banana peppers added a little crunch and sweetness, so I'll have to remember that for next time.This place is great and has become a new favorite of mine. Open for breakfast and lunch, 8am to 3pm (opens 9am on Saturdays) and closed Sunday and Monday. Now it's your turn.

Great quick friendly service. The inside is one of the cutest places I've seen in a LONG time! The Italian sub (add pickled onion lettuce mayo and Italian dressing) is one of THE BEST hands down I've had, ever. The bread -- chefs kiss. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back! Stopped by for a mid week lunch, was surprised to find this hole in the wall packed to the gills. Our food came out surprisingly quickly given how busy they were and everything was excellent.I had a rosemary salt bagel which was to die for, and my fiancé had the torta, which we thought at first was a bit pricey, but came out enormous so we were pleased. The jalepenos and tomatoes were notably fresh and delicious.We'll be back sometime soon to try more, but for now came away very impressed!

Now with more seating! I really like this place. The people are really nice and they do a small menu well with some special touches. Like radishes and mint in the sprout salad on the Hadassah. That's a smoked salmon spread bagel that comes either as a sandwich or open faced for a couple bucks more. You get a little bit more food if you order open faced, but I was thinking more about being able to take a bite without losing a tomato slice. There were marinated cucumbers too which also like to fly off sandwiches. They are quite delicious.In addition to the table they now have a couple more seats by the wall and outdoor tables. They still do a brisk takeout business. And it would be a nice spot to grab a sandwich on a lunch break.
