I think your experience here will depend largely on what time you visit and what they have to offer. To me, it's more fun when there are significantly more people around, and during peak summertime when there are plenty of strawberries, red raspberries, and black raspberries, that is the most fun and, in my opinion, worth the higher price. Off season both strawberries and raspberries are not going to be very sweet. It's rare for me to find black raspberries just in general, so that is a major draw for me returning!!It is so much fun to pick your own berries and such a fun outing for families and kids! They run a tight ship about making sure people stay in certain areas before they open up more, so I can see how that can be an inconvenience for some. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience and I definitely recommend a visit!!!

Great little family owned farm. There's ample parking and the trees were loaded with berries even though we came later in the season. The staff were very nice and always picked up the phone when we called asking for the status. There's a small farm store that sells drinks as well as some farm goods (plant pots, farm vegetables). There isn't much for kids here so it's pretty much exclusively a place to pick berries. Stock was very good.

This is a small farm that has strawberries and red/black raspberries. Best times for strawberries are in June and the raspberries are available from July - early September. This farm offers UPick as well as prepicked berries. They also have fire wood for purchase. Staff provides instructions on storing the berries as well as some recipes for what to do with em. The staff is very nice. They also guide you on where to pick and which ones to pick. Raspberries are $5 per pint and strawberries are $20 per bucket/I think a quart. Be sure to check their Facebook page and/or website the night before you plan on going. They give updates on what is available and if they will be open or not (pending weather). Happy berry picking!

I came here for berry picking in early July. I was able to successfully pick strawberries, red rasberries and black rasberries. I was able to fill the $18 bucket with strawberries, but it did take up to 2 hrs doing the kimchee squat to find the good strawberries (the ones that didn't go bad yet). I'd recommend coming earlier or maybe in the June timeframe for strawberry picking. The rasberries (both red and black) were easier to pick as it didn't require squating to pick them. It was easier to fill thr pint of rasberries too. All the berries were organic and sweet. The strawberries go bad fast if you leave it in the fridge so I'd recommend researching ways to keep it fresh or eat them asap.It was nice that I could take the bucket home. This farm only contains fields for picking. Nothing exciting like playroom, animals or rides if you're searching for a family friendly place. They do have 1 flushable toilet which is nice.Parking is close and easy to find.

Big fields, lots of berries and it wasn't muddy at all due to lack of rain. We got there about 10 AM and a lot of the bigger berries had been picked, but there were many smaller ripe berries, you just have to look at all of the runners under the hay.

Sorry not a fan. The farm is messy and there is clutter and junk everywhere. When we pulled in, I thought this can't be the place. The "parking lot" is terrible. Our truck barely fit. You have to walk far for the strawberries and that's ok. But the strawberries were not sweet. Maybe we were too early, not sure. When we were checking out, this guy (I think the owner) was on a golf cart and was steering right at us! We moved and then he moved with us and then swerved around and snickered at us. So odd!! And the way he talked to the staff there, rude. Just not a nice place or vibe. Maybe you'll have a better experience.

Heider's is a place that my wife and I keep coming back to you here after year. It is simple and humble in its approach to providing their customers and authentic harvesting experience. We decided to take our five kids strawberry picking last weekend and we're not disappointed. Large signs guy due to their parking lot and you are a short walk to the farmers stand where you can pick up your baskets. After getting your baskets you can head less than 100 yards away to one of two fields filled with strawberries with the size of garlic heads!Upon completing your selection of strawberries, you can head back to the stand and pay for them. $14 for every basket. The staff is extremely friendly (allot of local students) and the experience is great! My 5 piranhas typically eat about three handfuls a piece through the experience which is encouraged by the owners! If you're looking for a local place to support and would like high quality produce, this is the place for you! They are doing well enough that they are beginning to expand by purchasing land next-door to grow even more raspberries, which my wife and I intend on going back to pick within a few weeks! This is a great family friendly stop! And it's only 5 miles from Woodstock square where you can get some really good lunch or a drink!

Great selections of berries for sure, that was a plus.We drove 90 minutes on July 4th to get there only to be harassed by a THUG employed by the farm. He goes around with a golf cart giving people a hard time, he IS NOT an asset to the farm. The owner apologized for the situation but still don't make it right for paying customer to be treated this way by someone with no manners and very disrespectful attitude. In general it was a very disappointing event.NEVER again!
