Hefner's Custard

My husband speaks fondly of getting a cheeseburger and shake from Hefner's when he was a teenager. He finally took me for an afternoon pickmeup. There wasn't a line for ordering, but there were a few people waiting for their orders to be filled. We ordered and joined the wait..and waited. Though there seem to be systems in place and several teenagers working behind the counter, food and shakes were taking a long time. We got our cheese curds first (too greasy, but still good), but waited and waited for our milkshake. After the place started filling up with folks waiting for their orders, we asked about our lost milkshake. They quickly handed it over - it had been made and was sitting unseen behind the counter instead of placed ON the takeout counter.The marshmallow malt tasted so strongly of marshmallow-yummy!, but I didn't receive the experience my husband remembers so fondly from when his high school friends worked there.

This place is always busy and I finally see why! It's a cute and classic little space. I ordered the grilled cheese and it was exactly what I wanted- crispy and so cheesy. The fries were kinda basic, and I prefer other fries, but they were fine.The cheese curds were crispy and cheesy, I would 1,000% order these again. The custard was also pretty good. I made the mistake of ordering it at the same time as my food, so it was a little melted by the time I got to it. Next time I would just place a second order. It was tasty though! A super cute spot and I can't wait to go back.

The cheeseburger with the works was very delicious. The "Norapolitan" custard was also very good. Service was good. The parking lot is larger than I thought, and I think that is an important detail. There are dining areas both inside and outside. The outside area has picnic tables with umbrellas, for shade. Overall, I'm glad that I stopped in here today. I drove past this place for years and never dropped in. I plan to come back and try a custard whiteout.

Hefner's IS the token local ice cream shoppe that you always need. delicious custard, with fun rotating flavors of the day. my personal favorite has been blueberry cheesecake...yum yum yum. all the fun toppings/mix ins you'd want for a sundae, malt, shake. I can't wait to go back and try their cookie sandwich and some of their food. they have rotating food specials as well, including a lot of cheeseburgers. cute little outdoor seating area. oh, and the prices are more than fair. big fan.

Love their hamburgers, fries and onion rings! Custard is great! They have a few specials going on when the Green Bay Packers play.

Such good onion rings, great employees and cool arcade games! The flavor of the day is always good, overall a very cute burger joint, would recommend!

Well the burgers are pretty good, fries OK, never ever order the fish sandwich, just disgusting, frozen patty on a bun too big, tastes like vomit really horrid. Custard is just ok.

I've been to them all this past winter, testing to see if anyone could hold the the Bragging rights , Heff's now holds the record to post for "2024" APIRL 2nd at 1:05 PM .My wife and I will be back AGAIN-Fantastic lunch and staff treated us like royality , WAY TO GO !!
