Hank's Restaurant & Drinkery

The chef came out to take my order. She makes everything by hand. From scratch soup, hand patty burgers, hand battered fish ... oh yeah. So excited. I tried the white cheese curds first. Wow!! So good. They are served with ranch dressing - that was new and appreciated. Made from scratch chicken dumpling soup next. All fresh ingredients ... nothing canned. Small bowl with oyster crackers. Sorry - no pic ... I ate it to quick. Okay ... now to the pepper Jack/Peanut Butter/Bacon Burger ... hand pattied by the chef herself. The simple bun is flat iron grilled, crispy fried bacon crumbled under the cheese and above the burger. The peanut butter on the top bun. This is a smaller burger ... all the love placed in the cooking and simply plated. Overall a perfectly sized and executed meal. Not to much to bloat you and really good flavors. This is a nice American Tavern Eatery with a sit at bar, high top tables, a couple lower booths, and a pool table. I came here for lunch but I could see this place could get hopping at night.

Wow! Great hidden gem. Great fried chicken special. Delicious cheese curds and even better ribs. Who needs to wait over 2 hours at the Minecraft when Hanks is just across the street. Simply decor but good food.

Hanks has the best burger in Hartford. The Hammer Burger is always a great choice.Try the wedges and sweet potato fries on the side.A great selection of craft beer is on tap, and it's setup is ideal for watching sports as the bar is huge and the TVs are viewable at all seats.Thursday is $2.50 mystery beers which are typically seasonal from all different breweries.

Hank's is a great find in Hartford. There's great food, good service and a friendly crowd here.We stopped in after a visit to the Hartford Auto Musuem on a Packer Sunday Afternoon. The bar was full of packer fans watching the game, and the atmosphere was fun. I ordered the turkey melt sandwich, which was delicious. I splurged on the fries and they were a worthy indulgence. So good and perfectly seasoned. My friend had his standard, burger and fries. He said it was good.Good find in Hartford. We'd go again!

Local dive bar with pool table, pinball machine and stage for bands. Good french fries and pleasant staff.

Definitely not the place to go unless your a local. The bartender hanging out in the corner doing shots with his friends couldn't be bothered to refill our drinks. We waited for 15 minutes while he wandered around the bar passing us by about 6 times without even a glance. Obviously we decided to leave and went to the Hank and Hannah's across the street and that bartender was great!

Service is the reason to come here. Game is always on and they know how to treat customers. TheFood is excellent and the specials I wonder how they make money.
