Gyros Express

Had lunch today with my wife. We split foot long chicken shawarma, spinach pie w/rice, and baklava. All delicious! Highly recommend! Had a very nice conversation with the owner. They are very health conscious with their cooking. This is very nice family that owns/operates this restaurant. We wish them all the best!

Love their Greek Salad, it is so fresh!!! The chicken gyro is perfectly seasoned too. I have never been disappointed with anything I order from here. Highly recommend if you have never been!

I got sick there and have nothing else to say...and they are slow as heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really struggled on this as I want to given gyros express at least two star, but honestly cannot figure out how to do it... it was awful in just about every regard... service, taste, quality... just awful. I'd pull their Greek card. Gyros Express is like eating a gyros at country fait stand run by the The little rascals! By my experience, I have no idea where people are having experiences to give this 5 stars...Can't even conceive of how to give it two!Right off the bat when we ordered I was totally blown away by how bad the service was. It's not they weren't nice or attentive, it's just that they didn't let me make the decision on the facts. We ordered two gyros sandwiches. One with not onions or tomatoes, one with and extra of both intact. After we ordered, we informed, "ok, thanks, it's gonna be awhile we don't have more gyros meat on the cone, so we have to change it and then cook it... it gonna be 20-30 min." Ummmm, knowing that we would not have ordered all. This is "fast" food take out after all, not a sit down restaurant I'm Chicago's Greek town. Thank for making our choice for us... When the food finally arrived-22 minutes... guess who got he bottom of barrel on the old cone with burnt dry chunks of "gyros". The other was cooked and sliced normal, but was mealy at wet. Both, especially the chunky one were tasteless, unless burnt is a taste. As far as eating them... They we tiny firstly looking like two aluminum foil wrapped hotdogs. SMALL! Secondly, nearly impossible to eat. I'm not sure where they found the pitas they use but the pitas were super soggy...like wet Wonder bread. Try and grab it pick it and it falls apart! Plus the pita were tiny! The tomatoes were sliced but no one bothered to cut out the stem attachment so I guess that's a bonus.Such a huge disappointment and a total lack of self awareness about what service or quality look like.

Gyro was good...more garlic in the meat than anywhere else I've had a gyro and that was just fine for me...though probably not kosher for the people I was meeting with right afterwards. It took a bit to get the food but was well worth it. Fries were seasoned well, crisp, and tasty as well. I had the gyro plate and it comes with a choice between three sides. Nice ambiance though it's small which made it cold inside no matter where you were. Service was timid but good.

This is practically our first choice for Greek food. The gyros are always wonderful and plentiful. The rice the salad always great. I have loved Evelyn I've had from there! I already recommend

Absolutely delicious! I had the Greek Salad with Chicken and ate the entire salad! Owner is very nice too. Lovely little dine in atmosphere as well. If you love Mediterranean cuisine I definitely encourage you to dine here!!

Great gyros and pitas. My go to place just for that. Service was great. Loved the two guys that were working that night. They were fast and quick and got our order right - which is a lot to ask nowadays. Will be going back.

This food was excellent and it's not their fault that the horrible GrubHub delivery service took two hours to bring it to me if I had known there was a way to get it with DoorDash. Supposedly it would've been there faster. Nonetheless beyond this excellent gyros, the hummus, and the pita bread were great, I would recommend this restaurant just don't get delivery through Yelp

Hands down the best food I've ever eaten. I'm a frequent flier here, the mixed platter is the perfect little bit of everything. Falafel, gyro, salad, hummus. Always generous portions, always polite service. Prices are great, you're spending what you'd spend on fast food for a great meal and great service.
