A new favorite!! The flavor and freshness of everything we tried was perfect!It's bigger than it initially appears so don't get detered by that. The front looks more fast food like, but there's a larger room in the back with the traditional flare. Service was good.I definitely want to go back for a Pina Colada!

I first found out of this place at the South Shore Farmers Market, which is so cool! I didn't see chorizo listed as meats for tacos but I noticed they had chorizo con huevos. So I asked if I could get some chorizo tacos even though I don't see it and they said of course. I'm so glad that they did because I found my new favorite restaurant for chorizo tacos! The chorizo is not too spicy. The portions for rice and beans is good for the price. I went to the restaurant my second time and the tacos were just as good as the first time.

This place is the bomb diggity. And also, don't tell anyone else , ha.Had some of the best tacos ever, and this coming from a gal who lived in Texas for years. On Thursdays they offer 4 for $7, which is already an unbelievable deal, but they are also very generous in size. I absolutely also loved their salsa and guac. I probably could have ordered a gallon of either. Do check it out if you're in the area. It's a ding ding ding winner :)

We met a friend at Guanajuato's on a warm Sunday evening at the beginning of March. As we stood waiting for our table, chaos unfolded before us. The staff ran to and fro, maintaining eye contact with no one. We stood there for a good ten minutes before a gentleman asked if we wanted a table. In the middle of my sentence, he took off but returned a few minutes later with menus. The menus displayed the typical array of Mexican dishes offered in Milwaukee. Our server was very pleasant and returned numerous times to ask how things were. I just nodded because things weren't too good. My cocktail was ridiculous. It was a mezcal offering with grapefruit soda. There was hardly any booze. Our food was tasteless. Including my chilaquiles. The Burrito tasted like it was once frozen and then warmed up. While the mole had a chocolate base, a weird spicy after taste was discordant, as if it was added as an afterthought. This was not grandma's mole sauce. In Oaxaca, this mole would be a grandchild's first attempt. I wanted to enjoy Guanajuato's. It has a prime Bay View location, but the food let me down. Two blocks away, any food truck would prepare better food. Perhaps this was a bad night, but the competition is fierce with Milwaukee's Little Mexico two blocks away on the other side of the freeway.

Been wanting to try Guanajuato for a while and finally made my way over. Overall, it was a good experience. It was pretty busy when we arrived but we only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. For food we got tacos. I got steak and chicken. I would skip on the chicken next time but the steak taco was really good! We also got a mango margarita and horchata. The margarita was a little too sweet but the horchata was the best I had! Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time as well so the service was great! Recommend if you are looking for a casual dinner out!

I've been to many of the Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee. This one is my (our) go to. We have our own little corner spot at the end of the front bar, to eat/drink. It's very quaint and has a great ambiance. The food is very good. The margaritas are very good. The salsa IS THE BEST I'VE HAD, PERIOD!!!
