This is a Manitowoc must see and eat at!!!!!I highly recommend the perch. It's the only item on the menu that I have every time I dine here. The staff is super friendly, the dining room is quaint and cute and stop and have a libation in the bar before heading in to eat. I grew up in Manitowoc, left for college at age 18, and just returned as a resident. This place was here when I left and is still here 40 years later. How's that for the test of time!?!?!Hands down: it's A MUST for any tourist and or A lifer of Manitowoc. I'll be going for a fish fry tomorrow night. OH. But a warning: due to it's popularity the place gets packed the minute it's open. But don't fret, there will still be room for you. It's like magic

Wanted to check this place out as it featured broasted chicken. The amount of waffle fries was so few. It was like a sample. Although the roasted chicken was tender and moist, the rest of the meal was quite whelming. The trout had absolutely no seasoning and was dry and overcooked. I couldn't even finish it but I was paying for it and it was dinner so I did the best I could for $18 plate. The potato was so small it could fit in my hand. The rolls were like out of a package. And I think there was some toast cut up to resemble croutons. not sure what that was . The soups were OK, but not a lot of substance. Water even tasted funny for being on Lake Michigan service was super friendly though and very good, but unfortunately will not be back.

Ordered food here a couple weeks back on a Friday night. Overall, my partner and I were disappointed in our meals. The fries and chili lacked in flavor and salt, and the salad dressing just didn't hit quite right. Maybe it was lowfat or something like that. However, the steak sandwiches were really good. The meat was tender and had great flavor. I would definitely only go back for the sandwich. Take my word with a grain of salt, maybe I just like my sodium more than others

This place really personifies Wisconsin. It is a local place that the owner is actively involved in and it shows. Extremely friendly service from the bar when you first walk in to the servers In the back dining area. Small and quaint it provides a good basic menu with some good daily specials. I got the rib-eye and it was one of the best I've had. Cooked perfectly as requested and you get soup and salad as well as a wonderfully done baked potato. My wife had the perch and it was plenty to eat and every delicious and my son had the breasted chicken and it was excellent too. And all so reasonably priced. Nan's do do everything right here.

Cozy little Bar/Restaurant with Wisconsin written all over it! Great Old Fashion's, excellent Fish Fry and friendly atmosphere. Can't go wrong it this place. Food is almost always good and portions are generous. Perch Dinner comes in 3 sizes with the largest (3 butterflies) priced at 13.95. You get soup or salad and a choice of potato. My favorite choice is the American Fries w/onions. They're Great! My wife had the Mock Lobster (White Fish) and tonight it was a little dry. Good flavor and the butter helped, but not as good as usual. I have had other meals at Green Street and rarely ever remember a bad meal. Our server was very friendly and so was the bartender. Winner in my book, lunch or dinner.

This restaurant is very close to fitting a supperclub fantasy. Good vibes, family owned, large bar, comfort foods, friendly staff, very accomodating, reasonable prices, ample servings, 4-5 course meals, the lovely duo of Heidi and Jasmine to wait on you. Did I die and land in heaven! It is a distinct possibility. Praise the Lord! I am coming back for seconds!Ed CochranChopped fan

We wanted to try this place as it has good ratings. Unfortunately, they discriminate against people bound to wheelchairs. HOW 20th CENTURY!!! I asked the bartender how we could get someone in a wheelchair into the premises and he said, "Well, we have an entrance that only has one step." REALLY? Do you have weight lifters on hand to get this done? BOOOOO!!

We're from the Detroit area and arrived in Manitowoc to spend the night and take the car ferry the next day to Ludington, Michigan. We like to avoid chain restaurants and often consult Yelp to find the right place. I was drawn to the description of Green Street because of the local flavor and good ratings. As others described, but I didn't completely understand, I feel the need to elaborate. It is kind of a small place. The bar was packed but I noticed there were a few empty tables in the dining area. In a short time the bartender asked if we were there for dinner. Yes! We ordered drinks and found a place buried at the far end of the bar. We were given a number (68) and menus. The couple next to us were #53....yikes! My wife and I settled in for what we thought would be a long wait on this Friday night. We soon noticed that of the 16 people sitting at the bar we were the only ones drinking a beer and wine. Everyone had mixed drinks although this was otherwise a beer environment. A waitress slipped back to where we were seated and took our orders. Our new friends (#53) explained that the mixed drinks were cheap and they usually don't order until they are semi bombed.....makes sence. A few minutes later our table was ready and #68 jumped ahead of the crowd. Our table waitress further elaborated.....they are well known for their Old Fashions at discount prices (I did see Manhattan's and other mixed drinks being consumed at record rates).Their menu was full with premium steaks and seafood. The meals were complete with choice of potato, salad and soup. I had a chicken and rib dinner and my wife had liver and onions (she likes it!). All was very good. Bartenders, waitstaff and patrons were very friendly. Two meals, 4 drinks and a carry out cheese cake came to $33 plus tip....wow!There is one bad thing........I don't know when we'll be back this way again and if we do we will likely, at our age, forget all about this fun place.

We stopped here for lunch because of the very good reviews on Yelp. It looks and feels like a neighborhood bar from the outside, and when you walk in. We had a very good lunch. The food was good and plentiful. The service was prompt. Definitely a local place.

Disappointed. Got such high reviews. I love a good dive with good food. The food here is not horrible dive food, it's definitely a step up from that, but it isn't actually fantastic in my opinion. Maybe it was only the night I was in there, but it was just a bunch of angry people. Everybody in the place basically knew each other. I'm sure they're all there all the time. Democrat bashing and talking about how incredibly stupid masks are and how businesses can't really enforce you wearing one.Honestly it had potential but I wouldn't go back.
