Green Peapod

So awesome. Been wanting to try this for a long time and it was better than I ever would have expected. I got the green pea curry with tofu. Very good!!!!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ladies working here are so nice. I ordered the ginger tea and was blown away. Strong and full of flavor. This is the best ginger tea I have ever had. You can tell this is made fresh and not with a tea bag. My husband and I split the fried calamari it was perfectly cooked, chewy but not rubbery at all! My husband ordered the Thai fried rice with shrimp. He loved the flavor he just wish that they took the tails off the shrimp. He said he would definitely order it again. I had the Long Life Soup with extra Vegetables. I am normally not a fan of clear glass noodles but this soup was so delicious and I really enjoyed eating it!This restaurant is very clean, they play instrumental music and put white paper on the tables. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if your in the area.

Came by to eat on July 4th and luckily they were open. Per the owner, they're usually not open on this holiday. There's a nice area for parking in front of the restaurant and it's nice they're a bit set back from the busy street. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated. There were a few tables already filled and we noticed many take out orders. There were two staff taking orders. Perhaps because we were hungry the food took about 30 minutes to come out despite the restaurant not being too busy. The food however was excellent, great flavor, good portion sizes. They have the best pad thai I've had in this area. The owner came to speak to us and was very friendly, we will definitely be back.

Food is okay, pad thai flavor was lacking. Asked for 3 spicy and it was very mild. Enjoyed spring rolls. Service not good. Understatement.

3.5 stars. My family and I ordered take out; ka prow, teriyaki, panang curry, and basil fried rice. The food was good, but I've had much better at other Thai restaurants. To be fair though, I love Thai food and have frequented Thai restaurants in many other major cities. So, for being in McHenry, Il it was very good.The restaurant was also clean and the staff was friendly when I went in to pick our order up. All in all, I would order from here again.

Such a beautiful restaurant in downtown McHenry! I love their Pad Thai and the serving is enough for me to bring home for another meal. Love the owner, she's so sweet and friendly!!! Can't wait to go back!

Best Thai food around. I've been coming to this restaurant for 20 years and I've had almost evey item on the menu. Never been disappointed.

I was definitely in the mood for some red Thai curry with shrimp, and man, this place delivered. Set back off the street, it was unassuming. Once inside though, it shouted Thai. I was instantly greeted and told to sit anywhere like. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. The curry was amazing. Sweet with a smattering of heat. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Food is Good but not good enough to wait 2hr to receive. This is second time this is the case. I normally dont leave reviews but the website will tell you 30-45 minutes until ready for pick up. You order and pay. Then get text saying 75 mins. Then arrive 80 mins later and wait another 35. This thoroughly ruins the the meal you had the taste for. Not worth the aggravation to order again.
