What a Green Oasis in a City filled with Cheese Curds and Cheese Burgers.Highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for something healthy and tasty. Ordered the Chicken Asian Salad and a Smoothie that tasted delicious with oranges and carrots.Appreciate the quality of the food.

I tend to always order the make your own salad and sometimes will get a bowl of soup so I have lunch for two days. I LOVE the salads here because ingredients are fresh and you can choose your own toppings.They also make their salad dressing from scratch which is the only way I will eat my salad. The soups I have tried have all been awesome and for extra buck you might as well upgrade to the bowl vs. the cup.Service is quick and I never wait for than a couple of minutes. The parking situation now is a little dicey because you have to park in spots where the meters are bagged because of construction. However, if you are just jumping in they don't have a problem with parking.Definitely a great place for ordering salads for lunches for the team!

Grassroots is the best place in Milwaukee to grab a quick lunchtime salad. I will say their hours confuse me a bit for a salad place since they open early in the morning, but are not open for dinner. It's almost like a Chipotle for salads. They have some specific salads on the menu, but you can also build your own. The ingredients are good and the salads are a good size (you definitely get plenty of food!). Definitely a great place to grab a quick lunch to go or to sit and eat inside or outside.

I think I've driven passed Grassroots a few hundred times, and somehow never stopped in - crazy! To be fair, I think the location and lack of parking always deterred me. Turns out, that really was the case. It took me 15 minutes to find parking today, so just a heads up! But hey, that's downtown Milwaukee.That being said, I'm happy I finally had a chance to get lunch here! It's definitely a clean, neat, and cute little spot. Their ingredients all appears fresh, with many options even being organic. My kind of place! I ordered a "build your own" from the customize salad bar. Plenty of spinach as a base, with added toppings of cucumber, onion, avocado, broccoli, quinoa, and kalmata olives, topped with champagne vinaigrette. From what I understand, you can turn anything into a wrap as well! A nutritious and satiating lunch for sure. Though the place seems to often be really busy, especially during the lunch hour, the service is quick and seamless. Grassroots is onboard with the idea of changing the fast food landscape, and I'm here for it.

Hands down my go-to lunch spot of choice, every single time I am in downtown Milwaukee during a weekday. Nice, inviting seating area with bright green, salad themed décor. The line can get lengthy especially if you go right at 12pm when most working at offices around the area stream in for a salad fix. Prices are reasonable and ingredients are always fresh. I tend to make modifications to an existing wrap menu item (e.g., no onions, add broccoli). The salad artists never make me feel bad when I make modifications or give me any gruff. I have never had a wrap at this place that I did not love. I highly recommend the Kriti wrap. I also usually get a side of dressing for dipping on the side. There is a points/loyalty program offered as well. Something to consider if you find yourself downtown / in the area often during the lunch rush.

Grassroots is a terrific choice for a quick and large lunch! Their salad is huge and the topping selection is vast. You get four toppings, but I can't never choose just four. The food is fresh, and if you like tofu, they have a delicious marinated tofu! Grassroots is a great fast casual option in downtown Milwaukee and is essentially a chipotle or qdoba for salads. They also have smoothies and protein bowls as well, but I've always stuck to the salads. They also have combinations that they have created which have never steered me wrong, their Greek is one of my favorites!

We visited Grassroots for a lunch with work, which was my first time stopping by. My coworkers all had positive experiences here and recommended going. I thought it was enjoyable and appreciated the wide variety of options to choose from. I tried the Kriti Salad, which was basically a Greek salad. I chose to add chicken. I almost wish I had tried the Asian Salad, as I think I would have liked the roasted peanut ginger dressing a little better than the Greek goddess dressing on the Kriti. Don't get me wrong, the salad was good but there were a lot of choices. The salads are large, so they are a pretty good value. One thing our group lamented about was the dressing on top made it hard to mix things up properly as the salad was so thick. It would be nice if the salad was tossed in a large bowl before being served to distribute the dressing. Other than that, everyone enjoyed their lunches. There was an issue with one of the wraps a coworker had, but the staff was quick to correct it and totally re-made the wrap. For this I would say the customer service was excellent, definitely going above and beyond. I look forward to returning at some point to try one of the other salads, or maybe go with the build-your-own. It's nice to have a healthy place to get a quick lunch so close to work.

Limited hours and close earlier than listed on their website/ on the door. Went there 15 minutes before close on a Saturday and they said they were done for the day. Just an FYI.

Honestly, I never make reviews but the salad that I received for lunch today the Sante Salad and Dr. Roots smoothie were beyond amazing! Definitely worth the price!

Excellent salads. I wish they would open one out west here closer to New Berlin Waukesha area!
