Granite Falls Supper Club

Stopped at Granite Falls Supper club in Montello for breakfast today as my Dad was visiting me he had the country fried steak and american fries his plate was so full he didn't know where to start potatoes are freshly cut and you can tell. I had eggs and hash browns everything was delicious and service was great. I recommend giving them a try for breakfast or lunch as I will be making this my new breakfast place. Also the price is very reasonable. Can't wait till they start serving dinner. Happy to see it's under new ownership.

We have been to 32 supper clubs now, and we have ranked this place #32.I called and made a reservation for Sunday. Well, we decided to come Saturday instead. I tried calling seven different times over an hour and a half., with the phone just ringing every time. But we still drove the hour and a half hike. So when we arrived, I explained the situation and the host was full of excuses, "there are lots of phones lines and I'm not sure which phone I need to answer." Not once was there a, "I'm sorry, yes we can get you switched." She just told us there would be a 15-20 minute wait now because they had people walk in.Then I realized they literally have 7 tables and a bar area. We were told to wait in a side room and someone would come and get our drink order. We never had anyone come until we prompted, and no one ever gave us menus. We brought our 10 month old with us, because we thought, "oh we are getting there at 4:30, that's plenty early enough."We were waiting 30 minutes before the host came and told us our wait is now an hour. Well an hour turned into an hour and 45 minutes before we even got the option to even get our order taken and just get it going.When we sat, we were surprised that for 5 people, we got 4 cracker packs and never offered any refills on anything. The salads were warm and I didn't even finish it, which is saying something since we waited so long.4 of us got our food, but my husband ordered scallops and surprisingly, he waited forever for them. They don't take long to cook, so I'm not sure what happened. We had to flag down a random worker to go and check on what the hold up was. They returned sayings "the chef is still cooking them." Uh, okay?My chicken pasta was IMPOSSIBLE to eat! The sauce was so runny and they served it in such a deep bowl (that anytime you tried to get any, it slipped off before you could take a bite. But the chicken was SO CHEWY, I couldn't even finish the first piece. When the server asked how things were, I was honest. She was taken aback, and just said that's unfortunate.Then I found out that another in our party had hair in their food! And at the end, after EVERYTHING we dealt with, they offered us a $10 credit. We paid $85 for the most disappointing experience we have ever had.

Stopped here for the first time. Waited at the bar for over 15 minutes and both bartenders didn't even look at us (4 of us) . Got up left and went to the rivers edge next door. Much better over there!

Service is pretty non-existent and long wait for food. Cocktails were decent - Brandy Old Fashioned. Food taste - Prime Rib was average. Biggest issue is lack or service for a restaurant that wasn't even busy.

Went on a Friday night at 6, no wait, plenty of empty tables. In hindsight, this was the first sign. Had to walk through part of kitchen to get to our table in second dining room. I ordered beer batter cod, hubby got the 6 deep fried shrimp. Small relish tray was brought to the table but was pretty sparse. 3 black olives, 2 drenched carrots, 2 breadstick packs, and a scoop of cheese spread, that tasted a little off. Choice of soup or salad. I chose the prime rib soup. It was the bottom of the barrel, very creamy and beef was shredded. Prime? I think not.Cod was meh, little flavor. shrimp was large and tasty.pricey at $31 for 6 shrimp. Cod price was good, $15 for 3 large pieces, with choice of potato. Didn't get my drink until after meal came, then was an apple old fashioned instead of regular. By now we were done eating so swapped drink for grasshopper. Another disappointment. It was a pre made concoction, 3 scoops of grasshopper frozen drink possibly made with cool whip, which I am allergic to. Not a drink but dessert to eat with spoon.Pricey and food underwhelming. Will stick to Cimaroli's and won't be back.

We went on a Friday night and had baked cod-delicious! The French fries were the best we ever had. Our waitress Lilly was superb. We will definitely come again.

The friendly atmosphere. Enjoy the people that we have met. Always have a good time. Been pleased with the food. Waiting for the Prime Rib.

Awful. We had a group of 25. We waited forever. They only make 4 people's food at a time. My Philly cheese steak sandwich was the pitts:( all French bread, zero meat. I waited to eat all day an what a big disappointment. Their fries were soggy an terrible. One waitress. No refills on sodas. She never checked on us. Disappeared forever. People ordered lettuce & tomato on their burgers, didn't get it. The pickle spears you get with your meal were out. You also get a stale chocolate chip cookie. It was 2 friends birthday's. I stewed thru the entire miserable get together.

We got quesadillas that's part of their appetizer and the price ranges $8-$14 and which we didn't know until we got our bill that adding meat was $5 on top. So $16. These quesadillas were like your nephew would toss shredded cheese on a flour tortilla and microwave it and toss canned chicken inside. Very disappointing. Service was decent, only one worker so it is what it is. Inside was decently nice and well lit. But won't be going back unfortunately.

Simply can't afford it. Small town restaurant with big city pricing. I cannot rate the food or service but it better be amazing... Bring back Bendino's...
