Grand Cafe

One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had! I ordered the Kick'N Chick'N Sandwich, which came with perfectly fried chicken, Kick'N Sauce, dill pickles, lettuce, and pickled onions. Despite the name, I was expecting a bit more spice, but even without the heat, it was incredibly juicy and crispy--absolutely amazing. The fries were delicious, too!The service and the ambiance were great as well!

We visited the Grand Café in February 2023 and had their seafood boil and prime rib dinner for 2 on Valentine's Day weekend. The service was very good. Natalia was our server for the evening and did a great job taking care of us. I believe her manager did his rounds as well and popped in to say hello. The food was nice although I have a few suggestions. *The prime rib was delicious but was served at room temp. It could've been better if it were served hot. *I would've liked to have more horseradish. *The dinner rolls were unfortunately hard and stale. They recently did an interior refresh but the bones of the building are showing their age. Overall, we had a decent meal and if you're in the area looking to step up your dinner game the Grand Café is a good choice.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at the Grand Cafe. Food was excellent, service was exceptional, and the view was wonderful. We enjoyed the first day of our stay at the Grand Geneva with a perfect brunch experience. Thefood was absolutely amazing and so fresh. You must try the Avocado Toast, French Toast, and Nutella Pancakes!! SO SO GOOD!!!We ate here on a weekday so didn't get to explore their buffet menu which is available on weekends. Next time definitely trying that. WILL BE BACK!

We had the fish fry. It was pretty good. I like the perch and cod. The Cole slaw was very good with. Good tartar sauce.

My wife and I came here during our weekend getaway in Lake Geneva. We chose a Saturday night dinner buffet for $45 per person. The buffet has a decent amount of food selection including hand cut prime ribs, pork chops, salmon in a cream sauce, several hit side dishes, a variety of cheeses and fruits, small salad bar, shrimp cocktail, 5-6 types of mini deserts, etc. If the price was $30, I would give 5 starts, but the quality is not there for the $45 buffet.However, I say prime ribs, some desert items and cheese were really good. Unfortunately the quality is not consistent throughout different options.Lastly, the atmosphere was really elegant and looked like a luxury hotel restaurant.

Casual dining. Good food; not a lot of choices - but variety in the choices. They offered (as the entrees) a veggie bowl, amish chicken, sirloin steak, salmon - Japanese style, pork schnitzel, and filet mignon. Bar service was good. View of the lake is great, if you can get a table on that side. Reasonably priced. Great for an above average meal at a great price.

I want to tell you about my experience at the Grand Cafe. We were seated and if was extremely cold. We wanted to move tables and told our waiter he said as soon as they stop opening the door it will get better it never did. We ordered apple juice he said they were out and did not offer any substitutions. We ordered the Tuna appetizer we were told they were out of the crispy rice so they were not preparing it. We asked if we could get the tuna appetizer from one if their other restaurants they said no, they don't do that. The server said the best way to get food is the buffet because the kitchen was taking forever. At that point we asked to see a manager. Carl Lawrenze came over said the kitchen was all if the sudden magically preparing the tuna appetizer for us. We asked to move tables, we were told there was one in the front and we could move, so we did. We ordered buffet fot a 6 and 10 year old The babies 2 and 1 were no charge. The buffet food was equivalent to bad hospital food. The steaks that we ordered came out in about 15 minutes they were cold and over cooked (med well when we ordered med rare) , the french fries were cold and the butter carrots consisted of 3 baby carrots. We sent back the steak entrees. The tuna appetizer never came. The manager returned saying wow this has just been a horrible experience tonight. He took the steak meals we did not eat off the bill and brought back a bill for $85. 3 kiddie cocktails, 2 kids buffet, and 2 cocktails. He then gave us his card and said to ask for him next time we come back? We all left hungry and crabby the manager did nothing for us, he did not even buy us a cocktail and he thinks we are going back after leaving without eating?

Staff is rude and not accommodating. They say "no" before you even finish asking a question! Restaurant was almost completely empty and we stood 5 minutes while they clicked on the computer before they could seat us. Not very competent.

Wish I would have checked yelp before coming. It's Friday and came for the seafood and prime rib buffet and what a disappointment. Food---The food selection was terrible. The only seafood was mussels, chopped salmon and shrimp which was next to other food and cross contaminated being next to shellfish for those with allergies. Usually there are more seafood options, such as crab legs or lobster. The prime rib was closer to what carved roast beef and flavorless. The desserts were definitely not homemade in the kitchen but store bought. Atmosphere---There was a long table with 8 kids and they treated the restaurant like a jungle gym with no regard for other customers. They were loud and playing upside down on chairs kicking the waiters as they tried to pass. No management ever address this ridiculous behavior. Don't waste your time or money.

This is the only good restraunt in grand Geneva. Seriously out of all the steaks I've had in my life the 7oz filet mignon was the best I've ever had, especially for its price. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious with the sauce and paired with the mashed potatoes. If this restaurant wasn't so far I would come here all the time.
