Grace’s Restaurant

Never has bad service. The food is always so delicious. And I love the artwork hung around the restaurant. Just amazing.

Grace's has really gone downhill in the past few years. The dining room is freezing! The food comes out of the kitchen cold , too. My dad got a baked potato and the butter wouldn't melt on it. We told the waitress and she said, "Oh." and walked away. The fish isn't always cooked completely--- and it's the special on Friday. I gave them two stars because if you don't order the special, the food is okay. The last time we went, my dad got the fish (bad, as usual) but my husband got the chicken salad and I had fettuccini Alfredo. Both were good.

They refused us service even with an open table saying they were understaffed. very unprofessional.

First my pork chops come out with a slice of green pepper on the plate which I'm allergic to so I sent them back. Then my avocado wasn't even ripe. So I sent it back and asked the waitress to inform the chef I prefer my avocados ripe. The owner stops and tells my old man and I that she won't have us talk to her server that way. We were not rude in any way. The pork chops came back 5 minutes after I sent them back. My old man got an omelet and hashbrowns and the hashbrowns were raw. I was willing to overlook one bad meal after having been a regular for 2 years but with the rude and discorteous way the owner talked to us Grace's has lost our and our family's business for good. If I could give negative stars after tonight I would. We even stuck with this restaurant through the Covid problem when they opened back up and had plastic silverware and a one sided sheet of paper menu. Good job to Grace's owner for losing such good customers. I would suggest not chancing their food but if you do make sure you don't complain to your server about anything. The owner might stop by and throw a fit.

One of the few places in Wisconsin Rapids, WI area with buckets of Broasted Chicken. First off Im a graduated culinary chef who may seem to have high standards but no either food is Horrible, OK or OMG right. there is nothing else. Here we got a 12 pc bucket and about a pound of french fries. First off its NOT broasted chicken its Deep fried. Small shribbled up pieces of chicken with 70 percent breading and the meat was as dry as straw. Horrible. I dont know how anyone thinks this chicken is great? Its as disgusting as KFCs chicken is nowadays and if your old enough to have gotten original KFC in the 70s or 80s you know the original chicken. Now that chicken was amazing. But they have since changed their recipe and soak their chicken in water, not even close to what it was. The only thing I can say about this place is the fries were OK. I felt horrible after coming home and staring at what i got and worse how greasy and blah and gross the chicken was. I almost puked from the fact I wasted 30 dollars and picked it up myself. I would never come back.

Service was impeccable! Everything served with a comforting grumble! Corned beef hash was so unique- made me jealous of my dog's wet food! So mushy and heavenly! Atmosphere was like a familiar fever dream- so nostalgic and forgotten all at once!

They hire new employees mainly young teens as servers and use them for work for a short while then fire them and refuse to pay them. Or make up what ever excuse to not pay them. Keep their checks or credit tips. They are a shady buisness. Have been for years. I have many people who can also vouche with me who personally have been victims of their scandals. They con innocent people working, then always end up letting them go for nonsense. Please don't go and support a business that does this to people. One day I'm hoping it gets to the right authority's to get them shut down.

Been there three times. First was with a church group. Food was fine so was the waitress. Second time, there was caked on food on my knife. Third time my friend asked for the fish. The waitress said that the battered fish was the Cod for the all you can eat. Come to find out she made a mistake. After the meal was over she was talking with the owner in the back corner and discovered she had made a mistake. They ended up charging my friend an extra $4.00 saying that they didn't have the "All You Can Eat". I went back and said that the waitress misinformed my friend. The owner said that the Gracie's would have to eat the $4.00 if she didn't charge my friend. I said that I didn't give a rat's ass. The owner immediately popped up and said no one curses at her and we were to pay our inflated bill and leave. I went back to her place in the restaurant and said it would be prudent to have the wait staff be more knowledgeable in what they said to the patrons.The owner kept saying that no one cursed at her and was rude to her. I guess she was the only one who is allowed to be rude.

The staff's friendliness is why I am giving this place two stars, rather than one. I don't know why this place is rated so highly, because the food has little flavor/taste. We ordered three different dishes and they were all bland.

first time trying this place, and I can guarantee you last. One of those rare restaurants where it is actually depressing to be in. Should have walked out from the beginning but necessity dictated we try them. Where do I begin. Our food selections were potato skin appetizers, a simple patty melt, and a wrap. Don't think I ever eaten anything more tasteless from any restaurant. I could also go on for 10 minutes about the service but suffice to say, we had to ask for beverages, we had to ask for ice in our beverages, we had to ask for straws, we had to ask for plates when the appetizer came, we had to ask for napkins, we had to ask for silverware, and of course we had to track our waiter down and ask for the check as well. Oh BTW there were only two other tables seated in the entire restaurant so it wasn't like they were short-staffed or overworked. Feels like a place where people are trying to pretend they know how to run a restaurant and don't have a clue. Don't waste your time and money, a McDonald's would be better and tastier. And I don't mean that as an endorsement of McDonald's That's truly how bad this was. Always wondered if this place was any good, now I know. Heed my warning and don't waste your time as well!
