The five stars are for nostalgia and preservation of a time gone by. Gordie's is frozen in time. A time before technology took away interpersonal, face to face neighborhoods. A time when everyone knew their neighbors and looked out for one another. Gordie's hasn't changed for decades. I walked in and looked like I was a "brother from another planet." There wasn't many choices on offer, so I had a Tito's and soda. "You mean a Tito's and seltzer?" "Yeah." There were four strangers in the bar at 10:30 on Valentine's night 2024. One of them yelled at me, "You must be from Whitefish Bay." I said no. I'm from lots of places, but not Whitefish Bay. By the end of the night, we were all hugging each other and showing photos of our loved ones. Gordie's was that kind of place. People looked out for each other and had a safe place to go in the neighborhood for a beer and a shot of liquor. Places like Gordie's won't last long. Go and enjoy a piece of history.

I have such a soft spot for a good old-fashioned dive bar! Gordie's inside and out definitely fits the bill. There is a vintage Braumeister sign outside and the inside has a cozy traditional bar where you can belly up and order a cold one.Make sure you bring your booze coupons with you (aka money) because they don't take cards. The alcohol selection is good sized for a smaller bar and they do have a mean pour so you might not want to order as many. They have a fun jukebox and did I mention they have old school games of chance? It's definitely a fun neighborhood bar and they have big TV's for game watching.

Gordie's is my favorite bar ever. It's a tiny place with maybe a dozen bar stools, several TVs, some video poker machines and a jukebox. Depending upon the time of year, it will be decorated according to the season: on our last visit, the Fourth of July. Strings of lights will be on the ceiling in all seasons, and I would hate to have to pay that electric bill! You can get a glass (8 ounces?) of Miller High Life or Pabst for $1 (as of 2019) or a bottle of New Glarus for $3. Your money will go far!Bartenders are great, full of humor and old Milwaukee/St Francis character, as are the customers. It could be dead one minute and full of animated people within 5 minutes (because it's so small)... you never know! It's a very social place: other than the holiday decorations, there are zero gimmicks here. It's everyday, yet unique, a labor of love and good cheer.Say hello to my brother when you're there!

Was in town visiting family and needed a place to grab a beer and relax for a bit. Absolutely awesome home town vibe. Felt like being at home having a beer on the couch with friends. Stop by, don't expect anything fancy, and just enjoy a warm room with cold beer and a lot of local personality.

Absolutely one of the best dive bars around!!! Right in the middle of a neighborhood and it shows. Everyone knows your name. Family run bar and the decor changes with each holiday. The old style jukebox of full of 70's, 80's, and 90's tunes. Of course being a small, corner bar, the prices can't be beat and your bartender will even still buy you one in this place. It is cash only and doesn't have an ATM so bring the green with you, sit down at the bar and enjoy a cold one with the peanuts or pretzels they give you!!

A great Packer bar like no other as this bar is actually located on a side street being the ultimate house bar. The place looks great inside and has the average amount of corporate big beer. This us a bar that looks out of the fifties and seventies and I guess nineties as well. The place serves its purpose.
