Egg roll was excellent. Watch out for their home made Mustard for Egg Roll. It's good, super hot, and will clear out your sinuses. . Lunch special General Tso'sChicken with Fried Rice. Fresh and hot.

Has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Fox Lake. It might be the only one. Golden Dragon is a pretty old looking place that may look like it could be closed, but it's still open for business. Pretty dank inside, but every Chinese restaurant like this it seems to have food better than it looks, and the same thing for here. The prices are pretty good for portions. At lunch we came in and got a table with no wait at all. It only had a couple other tables occupied, and one of those was by a few employees. The atmosphere is pretty lame to be honest. Got a couple orders anyway. There's a few things for vegetarians. It's about $10 for an entree. I got the Golden Tofu. This item was actually unfamiliar. I had never heard of this before. This had a thick kind of soy sauce that was quite salty. Lots of vegetables in it. There was broccoli, carrots, and onions. Got to say it was better than expected. It may look crappy inside and outside, but the food holds up. There's plenty of meaty options, as well as things for vegetarians.

Ordered takeout a Xmas eve. No soy sauce, mustard, sweet n sour or fortune cookies and we prepaid a 20% tip. Additionally, no white rice. This place has just gone downhill completely since the kids of original owners took over. They are also not welcoming or polite. The establishment is filthy. I'm notifying the health department and disputing the charge w my credit card company. AVOID!

Our new go to for Asian takeout! They provide fast and reliable service, and the food is GREAT!

Ok so last time I reviewed this restaurant I gave them 5 stars! I didn't think I'd be here reviewing them again however the last couple times we have eaten here especially tonight I feel like it has gone down hill. Not sure what has happened however the food has been horrible! No flavor, rice not fully cooked, low mein that tastes like there was peanut butter in it. Just not good at all. Super unfortunate because I had high hopes.

We've been ordering here for the last couple of months and we love the soup and pork egg foo yung. We really need to try something else :-) but this dinner is so good we just keep ordering it. We utilize Uber Eats for delivery and never longer than 30-40 minutes. Delivered piping hot too!

The food is actually pretty good. A bit pricey for take out Chinese but again, the foods pretty good. What I cannot get past is the indoors. It's filthy. They still have plastic tapped up everywhere for Covid but you can see through the plastic and see a huge mess, cobwebs, and more. After stepping in (I usually would just do Door Dash) and seeing how grimy it was inside, I cannot order again.

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Considering this restaurant use to be so good, but since the original owners sold, this to new management, they have taken an outstanding institution , and ruined it. I ordered on Christmas Eve, as so many other establishments are closed, and what appeared to be a professionally run place, quickly changed my opinion. I was told to get there in 20-30 minutes, and when I arrived, there were at least a dozen other people, all waiting for their orders, so I then proceeded to wait an additional 45 minutes. When I got home with the 3 items, only to find 2 of them were wrong, I called the restaurant, only to get the runaround, spoke to a manager that wanted me to bring back the order, but I was not going to spend the night driving back and forth trying to get the correct order. The items we did receive, are not good, The fried rice they gave me instead of egg foo young, was not good, the egg rolls are truly horrible, and the General Tsu Chicken was mushy. This was my last time going here.

We have ordered food from this establishment quite a few times over the years and it has been pretty good. But we ordered one chicken and one beef dish and I have to leave this review because both orders we got were honestly about 80% vegetables. The little bit of beef and chicken we got was good, but it's pretty disappointing that after one meal we definitely do not have any leftovers, unless you want a plate of broccoli and baby corn for lunch. Probably won't order again because it's not worth the price just for some veggies in sauce.

Was there today. The egg roll was burnt and dripping in oil. The shrimp with lobster sauce tasted like there was a whole bottle of salt in it. Ben there a few times in the past. They either changes cooks or got new owners. It was absolutely TERRIBLE !
