Gino's East - Lake Geneva

Was in Lake Geneva and stopped here for dinner. Great view of the lake and lovely server. Pizza was so so and the crust not as I remembered. Not bad but not anything to talk about / kind of blah.

I wasn't really sure what to expect at Gino's East even though I am very familiar with Chicago style pizza but I was pleasantly surprised. First of all you have to get these spinach sticks. 5/5, must try. Super flavorful and unique, basically it's like an artichoke and spinach dip deep fried and you dip them in the house marinara. Get this. For the deep dish we got the Sausage, Mushroom, Green Pepper, Onion and it definitely hit the spot. I don't think it's in the category of a place like Pequod's but it's a solid 4/5 here. Service was good, the view was fantastic, and you can't ask for much more.

Heard about the patty sausage pizza so we ordered it while camping at Bigfoot. Take-out was easy. Lots of teen girls looking at their phones were startled when I came in though. Pizza sauce was awesome, sauce was a large patty disc on top with a great flavor. Cheese was real squeaky mozzarella! Delicious! Crust was flavorless but substantial. Price was high but it IS in Lake Geneva. ($39 for a 'large' which would be a medium all day long anywhere else.) Quality was spot on, I can see why they are a fan favorite!

Loved it food was amazing and the service was great. It was a little dirty and bathroom smells like well water but I would recommend.

Deep Dish Pizza was delicious and we got to eat outside during sunset. It was beautiful.

How does it get any better than when you have amazing deep dish Chicago style pizza lakefront... I can't think of a way to make it better because this location directly in the lobby of our lakefront hotel had the best view anywhere on the lake, and the food was amazing too. Being a fan of the Chicago style pizza and the Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich, I had to get both (don't judge me too harshly). The Italian Beef was everything you expect, thin cut delicious roasted beef with provolone cheese and covered in spicy peppers that was perfectly complemented by the rich beefy aus jus dip, perfection. The pizza also was a very good Chicago style deep dish loaded with lots of cheese and smothered in that bright tomato sauce. Prices were very family friendly and the service was good, but the location and million dollar views make it all worth while, Aloha

Great Pizza Great Service. Beautiful View. Friends were staying at the hotel so decided to just have a pizza,relax, and visit. We were very satisfied. The waitress checked on us often. We had great service. I loved the view

if u can roll up to a window table the dining area you'll get stunning lake views. Bar area is run-of-the-mill Bennigans-like. The deep dish is far out! I wish I was fatter so I could have like 3 deep dish pizzas here today. Zack was a great bar tendy/server one man show. Go during the winter. Summer is too crowded.

I was surprised to see a Gino's East in Lake Geneva as there's hardly any left in Chicagoland and it had been such a long time since I had eaten a deep dish from Gino's that I had to stop in and get one . It seemed to have something missing from the recipe as the pizza didn't taste like the way I remember it and it and my appetizers tasted bland. The restaurant was moderately busy and seemed understaffed wait times for a table seemed to range from 30 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes. My experience after eating there was like ..."Meh".

Order was medium deep dish pepperoni pizza, fried calamari, and mozzarella sticks. Restaurant was very quiet but staff was ready to help serve us instantly. They cooked up a great meal in a timely manor. The bartender ( didn't keep my receipt so don't know her name) was outstanding super helpful and attentive and made up an amazing drink.
