When the restaurant was open this was my go to place for tamales so when they closed I was lost and ended up getting tamales from Cermak. I knew a cart sprang up a while ago and they were available again so I searched them out.The guy working the cart was super nice and I asked him what happened to the restaurant that I used to go to because one day they were just closed for good, he explained he neede to concentrate on a family medical issue but he's back at it and has a catering business on 13th and Lincoln, I will post the menu.I would get the three for $5 with one ground beef, spicy shredded pork and jalapeño/cream cheese to reacquaint my self with the tamales. I received one hot salsa and two mild sauces, no skimping here. After driving home with one store stop the tamales were still hot unlike my earlier breakfast restaurant sit down experience. The jalapeño/cream cheese was tamale was very interesting and I'm glad I tried it. The spicy shredded pork was good with a decent amount of pork. The ground beef was my favorite and that had a decent amount of meat in it also. I did put all the salsa and sauces on them which made for a nice plate that filled me up.It was nice to get my go to tamales again and know where they are so I can get them again because I always liked them, yah I'm a fan.

We had our wedding catered by them this past summer and everything was amazing! We are still getting compliments on the food and many people have told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Everyone working was super accommodating and super helpful! We were able to accommodate a myriad of dietary restrictions with their help and it made our wedding so much less stressful knowing food and dessert was in their hands! Even after a year long postponement and through a pandemic it was a wonderful experience working with them. 10/10 would recommend for any event!

Picked up a dozen tamales from their satellite (cart) location on 92nd and Burleigh for Christmas. I was tempted to sample one on the drive home they smelled so good! I bought 6 ground beef and six shredded pork. The pork had a bit more spice which I preferred. Both types were delicious and they came with both green and red salsa which were also tasty. Very authentic! I will definitely visit their cart on Sundays at the location by the SuperAmerica on 92nd and Burleigh again. They get there at noon.

¡Ay, caramba! These tamales are fantastic!I happened to be driving home and saw them setting up on 92nd and Burleigh this Sunday, and man oh man, I'm glad I stopped by!They offered pork, beans, and chicken tamales at 3 for $5.00. The bean was by far my favorite with a cream cheese-like substance mixed into the beans. The chicken was also delicious. The side sauce was also spectacular. You could definitely tell that everything was homemade. Their hours of food cart operation are:Thursday at 84th and Appleton at 11amFriday at Howell and Oklamhoma at 11amSaturday at 84th and Howard at 3pmSunday at 92nd and Burleigh at 12pmWonderful, small, family-owned business! Stop by, reserve your tamales, or even get them delivered Wednesday through Sunday! They do charge a delivery fee of $3 or $5 based on distance.

My husband and I just tried this cart for the first time today. On Sundays the cart can be found at noon at the corner of 92nd and Burleigh. We arrived just minutes after noon and found that their was already a short socially distanced line. We purchased both the chicken and pork tamales as well as a container of the Puerto Rican rice. When we got home we cut up an avocado and a lime (we both really like acid). Then we both unwrapped our first chicken tamale. It was huge, easily one to one and a half inch across and nearly 10 inches long. We found that the proprietor had provided generous amounts of both a red and a green sauce. And then the taste. Totally awesome and definitely worth the money!. The rice was also wonderful. We'll be reviewing the menu and placing an order for Christmas. So glad that we learned about this wonderful business.

OMG!!!!! These are the best Tamales I have eaten and I love love tamales and are always disappointed when I order them from a restaurant. You can get 3 for $5 or 7 for $10. I arrived at 84th and Howard right when they got here at 1:00 on a Sat. I'm doing this review in my car LOL. They have red and green salsa. Everything is homemade and tastes fresh fresh fresh. I ordered ground beef, chicken and pork. WOW!!!!!

Really great tamales! I tried different types of tamales, the chicken mole, chicken, spicy pork, and bean tamales. They were all excellent(I love mole and wasn't disappointed) and it is a good amount of food for the price. Jan also made ordering and pickup very smooth and easy!

I've reviewed this wonderful food before, but I can't say enough great things about their tamales. I grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and feasted on the homemade tamales from our neighbors. Unfortunately I was never able to find tamales that were close to those tamales until we found the "Hot Tamales" food cart. The only down side is that you have to smell them on the way home and the aroma makes your mouth water. Please come out and support them. Their tamales are THE BEST. Every time we go we end up buy than the previous visit.
