Georgie Porgie's Treefort Restaurant

Came for custard....Always pleased when we are here. The mini sundae is plenty for me- hot fudge and crushed nuts. Really- just all their food and treats are fabulous.

I had a double Porgie burger which is similar to a Big Mac and the burger was very tasty although it could have used a bit more of the Porgie sauce. We also ordered a large order of fries which were done to perfection and the order was plentiful. Very friendly service and I will certainly be back.

Porgie: Georgie Porgie's (GP) has been serving burgers & custard since 1991. The restaurant gets its name from its founder George Liapis and has locations in Oak Creek and Racine. The restaurant's namesake burger is their version of a McDonald's "Big Mac" or Big Boy's "Big Boy". Ordered as is, it comes with Porgie Sauce, American cheese, lettuce, pickles and onions. The bun can either be a standard white, wheat, lettuce bed, or pretzel (for an additional charge). Pretzel was tempting but I'm never nuts about additional charges and I also kind of wanted to see what I thought of the burger's flavor with less distractions for my taste buds. Everything worked well with this particular burger. My lettuce, onions, and pickles were all fresh and crispy. There was copious amounts of the Porgie Sauce on both the top and bottom portions of the bun. It's that Porgie Sauce that really makes this burger shine as it is in no way an ersatz Big Mac sauce, but equal if not superior. The burger patty was flavorful, thick, & juicy and it never hurts topping it with melty American cheese. Lastly, the bun holding this hefty burger together was pillowy, pleasantly chewy, and I believe it was also slightly toasted. The bun to patty ratio also works well and does not suffer from what I jokingly refer to as "Big Mac Syndrome" in my burger reviews (Big Mac Syndrome is a burger with too much bun and not enough meat). Came for a snack and left very full and satisfied. I got the s'mores sundae which was delicious (a little too much whipped cream, but that's just me). This was my first time having mozzarella sticks in a wonton wrapper but I was pleasantly surprised. Great cheese pull and the outer layer was crispy - definitely needs to be eaten right away while it's hot!

I'm very disappointed in this place. First they up'd their kids cheese burger meals to $9 for a burger, drink and one side and also got rid of the free kids custard! Honestly Culver's kids meals are better, better burgers and they still give a kids custard. Not to mention my Cheddar melt was super bland! This place used to be better!!!

The atmosphere is unique and interesting. The food was okay. The Porgie sauce wasn't that impressive. I felt like it was lacking flavor. I opted for pretzel bun and the flavor of pretzel was all I really tasted. The fries were deeeeelicius though. Chicken tenders were good. My kiddo was happy. Custard was good. Nothing too impressive though. Idk if I would be back again tbh. It was roughly $60 for 2 burgers, 3 pc chicken tender, 3 drinks, 3 fries and 3 custard desserts.

Wow just wow good service, good food, cool restaurant, and nice environment to eat in 5 stars would recommend.

Food was great. It's a cool place, neat decor. Staff was very friendly. It's a little pricey, but worth the visit.

The BEST restaurant I have ever been to the mozzarella sticks and Georgie burger is my fav I also recommend the pizza burger all of the menu is delicious (p.s the have VERY good ice cream)

Burger was tasty and the fries were good. Kids chicken strips were okay and the deconstructed avocado chicken (salad) was a big hit. Cheese curds lacked taste, partly because they were more breading than cheese. Overall pretty good but hard to justify at $60 to feed 2 adults and 2 kids at a counter service experience.
