Gabriel's Taqueria

This is an amazing find in downtown Oconomowoc. Gabriel and Rosa, the owners of this food truck, are incredibly friendly and prepare the most excellent authentic Mexican food. The menu is extensive, the food is made fresh to order, and served hot and delicious. Fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, huaraches, tacos (Mexican style or American style) tostadas, sopes, quesadillas, nachos supreme, tamales, sincronizadas, tamales, machetes, tortas, and more.They also have a kids menu and combos. There are many vegetarian options. My vegetarian burrito was stuffed full of beans, rice, cheese, and vegetables. The desserts look delicious, although I did not have room to try any tonight. Flan and Mexican rice pudding, definitely I will try one the next time I'm here.They also do catering, and that would be excellent for any event.There are some tables and chairs set up beside the truck. It's still a little too chilly for outdoor dining but would be nice when it warms up.The hours are Monday thru Saturday, 10 am to 9 pm. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Craving Pozole but its not soup season here in Oconomowoc, WI right now! So I ordered chilequiles with carnitas and half red/ half green sauce. Don't think they could've put more goodies on these! Tasty, carnitas moist, tender, flavorful! Ordered the Shrimp Ceviche again! Oustanding! I'll be back.

This is a great taco truck... Authentic tacos al pastor, super fresh, made to order, and in the heart of where? Ocononowoc?! Score! The al pastor is seasoned so well, is a bit crispy here and there. The cilantro is fresh and pops with flavor and the tortilla very fresh, heated piping hot while remaining delicate all the while. Their salsa verde is one of the best I've had, with super bright notes of lime and cilantro! Pulled the highlighters from the tacos perfectly! Kids had quesadillas with carne asada and raved about them being so crunchy and cheesy!Only better if there were chips and salsa, but then I'd never leave!

Having lived in Mexico for 8 years, I have become quite picky about my tacos... These tacos brought me back to all my corner Taqueria shops in Tijuana. As soon I stepped out of my car and caught to aroma of tacos I knew it was going to be good! I like variety in my tacos and so I enjoyed not only the Chicken and the Steak but their Lengua and Cabeza de Res was delicious. And the best way to wash them down is with their sweet Horchata drink. I will definitely become a regular here.

Love this place!Gabriel and team are outgoing, friendly and more importantly, serve delicious food. I am so happy I can find a local establishment that serves Langue and is so fresh.Keep it up and we will keep coming back.

Best street tacos around & fair prices. Definitely recommend! They are always busy yet always deliver a great product! We've been ordering from them since we moved to Oconomowoc 5 years ago

I can't eat cilantro. It's vile. May as well coat the food in dish soap. Inedible. I spent a solid 3 min, dear reader I kid you not, a full 180 seconds in subzero windchill explaining this to the order taker. Complete with gestures, amply clear that these taco were to have no cilantro. Dear reader, there was so much cilantro. Not just on top, but just jammed up into every nook and cranny of these tacos. Literally threw them away and ate yogurt.

Love this place Perfect in the summertime. I got chicken flautas and they're so good. 10/10

Great food, but the customer service not so great. The 1st time I ordered, it was on the website. After waiting the 45 minutes it takes to get the food, I got there and they said they didn't see my order. I ended up waiting another 1/2 hour. The food was very good. The next time we ordered on the website again, waited 45 minutes, went to pick the food up. Got home to eat and the order was wrong. Called them, they told me to give them 10 minutes and so I went to pick it up and also brought back the wrong order. This time the owner was also there. He seemed pissed at me. I felt like he thought it was my fault by the way he looked at me & acted. I showed him my email of the order. I waited another 1/2 hour again. No apology or anything. Won't go back again. Plus, they were hard to communicate with.

Waited 30 minutes for two burritos with no line and no other orders! Absolutely baffling service.
