Stopped on a motorcycle poker run last weekend, about 40 bikes pulled in at the same time. The bar was prepared for the crowd, seemed to have extra employees on hand and took care of us in a timely manner along with the regular customers. I had been here before and have always been treated well. The food is good and prices are fair. I will be back.

Worst meal we've ever had! The brisket was like leather!! Returned it for a steak sandwich which was horribly overdone and just as tough!!The waitstaff did nothing but rolled her eyes at us!! The other couple we were with had a meal just as bad!!We will never be back and I would not recommend it!!

This is a very clean friendly place to take the family for Burgers, BBQ, Friday fish or any of your other standard tavern fare. The staff & bartenders are friendly and efficient, the menu is pretty large and varied with something for everyone and the soups are made right there! You won't regret stopping in!

Just got back from lunch at Fudgies. Fudgies is know for their classic Wisconsin bar food. If you want broasted chicken, fried cheese curds, haystacks of onion rings and great burgers, you will love Fudgies. I had the special which was two huge meaty burgers on a Sheboygan hard roll with bacon and cheese. I could hear my arteries harden as I walked through the door. Fudgies is located at then end of great motorcycle twisties in the Kettle Moraine forest, and on the snowmobile trails. As it is the ONLY place in town, it is nice to have a great spot to hang. The only bad thing at Fudgies is the smoking. They do have an outdoor patios, and the State law will stop the smoking in July 2010.Fudgies was almost a goner last year. They burned down and were debating whether to re-build. The owners knew that the town needed them and now they are back and cooking. If you are going to Elkhart Lake or Road America and need a beer and a burger. Stop in.

I hate to do this, but we had a terrible experience here. We stopped in on a busy Friday night and it was obious from the moment we walked in that they didn't know how to handle any sort of crowd. Not seeing any open tables in the dining room, we and another couple wandered out to the patio for some tables and space. There was a sign that said order at the bar, and that was fine, but as I went back into the bar to grab some menus, I saw a waitress come out and take the order from the other couple on the patio. I got to the bar and asked for menus and the bartender asked where we were sitting and I mentioned we were outside. Went back to the table and waited a bit to see if the waitress would come by our table at all. 10 minutes went by.....and she didn't. No problem, we went in and ordered from the bar. Then waited, and waited, and waited, and waited.....it took over 40 minutes to get our onion haystacks appetizer. Another 15 minutes beyond that to get our food. The younger guy that brought it out was very apologetic...but after 55 minutes, our patience was gone. Then to top it off, the food wasn't even good at all. Really greasy, unseasoned burger, and another entree that had no flavor at all. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but it gave us no reason to go back any time soon.

First Friday, 5/7 thought we'd try despite the name, bar service excellent, friendly bartenders...ordered 2 perch fries, hand battered..got small walleye filets instead, barely half a portion cup of cole slaw, lukewarm fish, and pre-prepared german type potato salad. The perch and wallet have entirely different flake size, texture, and taste,so I hope they didn't think we wouldn't notice...They had smoked meats on a board, so thought we would give it another try again on a Fri. Every option sounded good. Do not like eating on paper, or from a basket, but had a pulled pork sandwich with fries as an extra. Cole slaw and curly onions on top in a quantity barely visible. It, had lukewarm meat , very dry, and no mention of being able to order a sauce. My partner had a biscuit sandwich with 4 thin slices of brisket and again, he rated it mediocre. Noticed chief owners walking around talking primarily to the "regulars"..would have loved to talk to one of them. The person next to me at the bar had the same sandwich as I, with a generous portion of cole slaw and curly fried onions.. I asked if she ordered double, she said no, looked at mine and said she had never seen one so chintzy (her word). Quantity control is a problem here. We no longer have to blink the get the vision of where the fudge knuckles were before serving.Obviously we will not return...

Excellent food! We stopped on a busy Friday night and ordered three completely different things (only one of us had the fish fry). All were perfectly made and very delicious! The steak sandwich was even medium rare, just as ordered. At lot of times when you go to a busy restaurant, the food gets overcooked. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, too. Also found out the owner is a veteran and they support our military and veterans. Definitely will be back!

Awesome stop on the Harley on the Kettle Moraine scenic route! Amazing brisket and tender duck strips! The onion haystack was perfectly crisp and not salty! Great treasure to stop at and good beer selection in bottles and on tap!
