Frostie Freeze

Very tasty and inexpensive ice cream treats. On Janesville's south/west area of town.

I drove out of my way to try this place because there is something appealing about a soft serve cone rolled in jimmies. Or crunchy bits. The prices are a throwback, the product is delicious, and the service is friendly. If it weren't for the location I'd come all the time.

This has been my favorite find in Janesville. So cheap and so SO good. You can mix literally whatever flavors you want together, and they don't even charge you extra. Love that they have plenty of outdoor seating and a walk up window. My fave place in the summer!

Just passing through and needed a sweet treat to bribe the kids into spending another 90 minutes in the car. We found this classic walk up Ice cream stand with an obviously loyal local fan base. Giant cones dipped in cherry, chocolate or BUTTERSCOTCH!!! Fed four forUnder $6. I wish I tipped better. Next time I may try the candy dipped!?Don't walk, run!!

If your in Janesville, this is a neat little stop!Selection is about average but portions are super generous! Cost is very cheap. Staff is very friendly. Lots of places to sit outside.

3 stars for the prices and people who work there. The staff were super nice despite being super busy. My husband got a slushie and I got a dipped cone for $2.60.The ice cream (cake batter) had flavor so faint that I almost forgot what flavor I ordered. My husband said that his slushie was really watery at the beginning. I'd be okay if I never ate here again, but I'm glad I tried it.

Dear God I love this place! The bumper to bumper cars are usually way too long, but once you get your swirl ice cream cone...you forget all about time and space. My sister and I come here at least once a month for our 'indulgence'. Not only does the ice cream taste fantastic, the prices are quite reasonable for what you receive. Hail Frostie Freeze! I'm not a fan of corporate chains which is another reason why I love this place. Skip DQ, their stuff is frozen white water with sugar in it, anyways, Let us hope Frostie Freeze will outlive us all and continue giving the people of south central Wisconsin their just desserts! :D

I scream You scream we all scream for ice cream. I love this place. I grew up going here. Even after all these years it's still the best I've had. It might be the nostalgia. It might be that they are really that good. They always have the right ratio of candies in their candy freeze. Not too much, not too little. They have a "flavor of the day," which is fun. Prices are reasonable $2.50 for a small candy freeze $3.00 for a medium and $3.50 for a large. Cones are equally reasonably priced. Something unique to FF is their "twinkle cone" which is sprinkles with peanut brittle; which is still one of my favorite things to get.Despite the long lines and traffic out to the street and occasionally ON the street, I'll keep coming here when I'm visiting my hometown.

The line was not too long, and it moved pretty fast. The prices are great. The selection was awesome.and as far as soft serve ice cream goes,it fit the bill.
