From Olives to Oil

I was looking for holiday gifts for our family and drove past this place so I figured I had to check it out! It smells wonderful when you walk in, and the layout encourages you to check out every option they provide. You can taste most of the oils, and they have some pre-bottled options you can grab and go. I also really appreciate that they have gift boxes prepped, including some that provide a recipe you can use the oils to create! We can't wait to give our gifts, and now we have some new bbq sauce to try!The store has a direct supply relationship with a farm in Italy.

I'm not a fan of the name; but I am of the contents. The Oilerie is a place to pick up flavored olive oils or vinegars. There's a lot of choices and plenty of tiny paper cups for sampling. It's almost overwhelming and there's no way to reasonably sample every oil and every vinegar in one visit. I prefer sampling the vinegars, because the taste doesn't linger quite as long. However, the employee was quick to point out that sampling the oils isn't so bad if you think about it in terms of a couple of drops instead of gulps. (seriously? Who gulps oil?) And for every sample you taste, that same owner/employee can make an immediate recipe suggestion. That's pretty awesome. So when I couldn't figure out what to do with walnut oil or vanilla vinegar, Oilerie staff came to the rescueDuring my visit, I overheard a group discussing the bridal shower package where food made with the different vinegar and oil options can be part of the celebration. Here I was thinking that a shower package was a gift box of different oils and vinegars, but it's a lot more than that. The Oilerie is exactly the place I'd seek out for inspiration for changing up a favorite recipe or trying something new.

I thought compared to other oileries in the area they had an extremely limited variety. Everything was good but I was totally unimpressed with the variety and told to just make my own with the basic balsamic. Um no. It's not the same. They also only offer one size bottle. Head to delafield for the best Oilerie in the county.

I gave them a one star for poor customer service I paid $60.00 for a class on March 12th. Due to the weather I tried to cancel the class at 9:00 AM. I was offered recipe cards that they give away to anyone. Businesses and schools were canceled due to severe weather advisory I didn't expect my money back however I would've been happy with something other than free recipe cards.

Wonderful selection of Oils and Vinegars, along with super knowledgeable staff. Lori especially is wonderful to work with. She was even happy to come and do a presentation to our social group to educate us on their Oils and Balsamics. Oh - and be sure to check out their food prep classes. Super fun and very easy recipes.

I love this place. Their flavored vinegars make THE best salad dressings.In case you don't know, the olive oils in the store are cut with other cheaper oils. The oils here are pricey but healthy and delicious

She really knows her balsamic vinegars and olive oils! She came up with some delicious combinations that are enhancing my recipes and helping me explore new pathways. A good selection and great size options.

What a great find. Lori, the owner, is quick with recipe suggestions and very knowledgeable in regards to the health aspects of evoo. She offers different bottle sizes for those that can't decide.

Such a nice store-especially for foodies who are looking for something different than what's at a typical grocery store. I especially like that you can sample all the different oils and vinegars so you aren't stuck buying a whole bottle of something you might not like when you get it home. I ordered two gift boxes for Christmas gifts and the staff was very helpful with ideas and suggestions. They have many ready made gift sets to choose from. As the gifts are being shipped they took the phone numbers of the recipients so they can call and check that they arrive in good shape. Now that's service!

Can't go wrong with the Oilerie, while not inexpensive the quality, varieties of products and great tastes make it all worth it!
