The salad and hot food bars are incredible and reasonably priced. Cannot beat the selections!Lots of Indian and Chinese entrees. I tried the Lamb Stew, Butter Chicken, and Beef noodles. They were all delicious. Best fast food ever!The workers were very helpful, I over heard a staff member offering for a customer to try a taste of a dish before buying. Awesome

Fresh Mart is a fantastic store! We had some of the best crab legs from their seafood section. They support local farmers and had beef from a farmer in Lodi, The staff is incredibly friendly and the cafe has great drinks at affordable prices. We haven't tried the hot bar yet, but the selection looked delicious. Don't miss the homemade bakery!

Located at the old Whole Foods location. It's an international grocery store, which answered why I thought any grocery store thought they could survive being around Metro/Pick n Save and the new Whole Foods behemoth store down the road. It has become a gem few people know about.For starters, international students: Halal lamb and chicken butcher. In Madison. Did you ever think those two sentences would be together!?The hotbar is also fully stacked with homecooked halal Mid East cuisine. There is also a Chinese section. Portions are kept small given how unfortunately undiscovered this place is, but everything tastes fresh and rotated. I was promptly helped at the deli and ordered a fresh made chicken wrap to go. It was excellent. The hotbar was serviced by a very kind woman offering me fresh kafta patties she was bringing out.They even have a bakery and cafe where everything looked fresh and delicious. Very European style.Tons of organic and responsibly sourced offerings. If a product isn't quality, they don't put it on the shelf, leading several shelves to be barren. But everything ON the shelf is PRIME. Both local and international sourced. Take the frozen dairy: Chocolate Shoppe pints. The tea and coffee aisle? Absolute top notch. Turkish and Lebanese coffee, along with authentic Eurasian tea blends that otherwise cost a fortune to import.Pastas, sauces, juices, and canned goods from all corners. The fresh juices from Holisac's Taste of Africa in Sun Prairie stocked there are incredible. I was sorry to see it so empty. These are offerings you can't find anywhere else in Madison, and I hope more people give it a chance. These are the kinds of unique locations that deserve to succeed while big business tries to muscle in on Madison's boom. I will be trying to shop here exclusively from now on.

What a great find! This is an amazing grocery store. It's a really great international grocery, with foods imported from around the world and a wide variety of each. I went in looking for rose water and of course they had it. But it's also just an excellent general grocery store, with all the stuff you'd expect from a US grocery story (Jiffy peanut butter, Cheerios, etc.). Its produce section is terrific, with very good prices. In addition, it's salad and hot bars were very impressive. The meat is halal and the bakery was good. Just an all-around good food store.I'll definitely be back. What a great addition to Madison's grocery shopping landscape!

Great service, they have a lot of cool options! especially international food. I found everything I was looking for.

Please, please, please go to Fresh Mart. There is nothing else like it in Madison. Huge selection of groceries from the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe you won't find anywhere else in town, at least not under one roof. Incredible olive bar. The hot bar has everything from beef-stuffed cabbage leaves to Chinese food to soup to Turkish salad to lamb biryani to... well you get the idea. Charming attached cafe with excellent baklava and other Middle Eastern sweets. The only problem? This is a huge space, the former Whole Foods, and I'm worried there are just not enough customers to make rent! So please go shop there and keep this wonderful food resource alive!
