We stopped in and had a couple of burgers, cheese fries, and homemade potato chips.The food was all fresh, hot, and delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the service was fast and friendly. We sat at the bar and had basically no wait.I had the burger of the moment, which came on a pretzel bun and was served with a beer cheese sauce and crispy fried onions.We loved everything about this meal and will be back every time we visit Burlington from now on.

Let's start with what I'll call Price of Admission. Walk in, find a seat. Note your table number. Pull out a menu and a yellow card (flick them, we had three stuck together at first) and a pen. Now read the menu, pick your food, write it on the card, and deliver it to the bar with your Table Number on the card. Easy-peasy, right?This is 1970's bar kitsch for ambiance. You see "World's Best Burgers" on the menus and the walls, the walls are wood paneling, with tons of pictures and funny sayings over the bar.We flew into Burlington Airport. The FBO was closed, so we hoofed it for 1.3 miles to Fred's and ordered dinner. I had their Cheeseburger, and my wife had their Olive Burger. We ordered two appetizers rather than having a side, which were the "Frings" which is a mix of curly fries and onion rings, and their Cheddar Crisps (spicy) which were cheese curds, served with ranch dressing.The "Frings" and Cheddar Crisps came out first (as you would expect, sine we ordered them off the appetizer menu) and were literally fresh out of the fryer hot. The Cheddar Crisps had enough heat to notice it and enjoy it, without having to hit a fire extinguisher. The "Frings" were a good mix of onion rings and fries.Then the burgers came out. We both ordered and received medium rare burgers with the toppings we asked for. Ketchup and mustard (including a better mustard) are at the table. The burgers were fresh off the griddle and quite good.We both ordered a glass of the Root Beer, which was served off the tap in frosted glasses, and was excellent (with no free refills). This isn't a complaint - it's a review, I want to provide full disclosure. Other soft drinks have free refills.The tables and place was clean, the seating was comfortable, and it was only 1.3 miles from the airport so an easy walk. How could you not like this place?

Always outstanding!My favorite order is a 1/4 lb cheeseburger and a side of homemade chips. Hits the spot every time!! Can't get enough!

This place is AWESOME! These are some of the best burgers I have ever had. I bought the burger seasoning for at home and it almost tastes identical to the burgers at the restaurant.

I have been driving past this place for a very long time but I have never stopped because of the outrageous sign, worlds best burgers and often thought about stopping in. It's on the edge of old downtown which is shooting for trendy as opposed to small town but it's still nice. Parking can be rough as the lot behind them was full and street parking is horrible on a Saturday at noon.The place was super crowded/packed on Saturday for lunch and I got the last missable seat at the bar, the coroner in the L. The place is draped in wood because it's all over like a tree vomited all over the everything but rustic nice with good ambience for a burger joint. I started with a spicy Bloody Mary which was tame and average that was garnished with cheese, meat stick, olives, pickle and an orange slice. I wanted to try just the 1/2 pound cheeseburger for an honest tasting of the burger vs a flavored burger like the cowboy for a true sample of the burger. The burgers are Al a carte so no side of any sort comes with it.My cheeseburgers was ordered rare with lettuce, tomato and onions which came surprisingly fast for being packed which nets the 4 stars. I wish the bartender explained that the onions were grilled because I was expecting raw for the full flavor, grilled saps all the flavor out of them. The lettuce was leaf which I love on sandwiches and the tomatoes were fresh. The bun was fresh and nicely toasted. You could tell right away by the drippings that the burger patty was fresh and hand formed cooked perfectly rare. My first thought was that the meat didn't have a big beefy flavor and not seasoned very well with no grill flavor but tender and juicy with no weird chewy pieces even after I lightly salted it, no condiments were used so I could form an honest opinion of my burger.Overall it's not the worlds best burger because I have had tastier burgers and it was not bad but I orderer one as a flavored burger like a cowboy or a patty melt next time because it would be pretty good vs a stripped down cheeseburger with no big flavors, it's got an excellent base like the Chevy but go for the Cadillac here.

One of top burger places on our area. Quality, fresh meat Great buns that become one with the burger. Meat patties are a little larger than the buns so meat is guaranteed in every bite bite even the first one.

About 15 minutes outside of downtown Lake Geneva, this is a hole in the wall burger joint. My family and I love coming here for a casual meal and are always fully satisfied. The homemade chips are DELICIOUS! They pair nicely with any of the burgers on the menu. They also have a French onion dip for the chips that elevates them even more. The mozzarella sticks are also very good.

The service is amazing and they make sure to treat you well! The food is amazing and the curly fries are the best fires in the area. Overall experience 5 stars

Fabulous burger! Have been wanting to stop in for a while and finally did - and I am so glad I did. Great variety of burgers. Cooked just perfectly!

This is my favorite restaurant. Everything about it is so comforting and enjoyable. This is one of the few restaurants I am confident eating by myself in, odd thing to say but it's what I was thinking whilst eating alone in this restaurant.
