Food Shed Co-Op

So a little background before I give my review....Im always a big fan of local & visiting a high end grocery-store on occasion. I also love to find unique foods to try (especially from local mom and pop places)....With this in mind, I was very excited to see them building this co-op (I wasn't necessarily expecting it to be an expensive place or anything but I knew it would have local items and hoped I'd find a few unique items.I tried it out a couple weeks back...and as the post below states, the prices are horrendous. This place is more expense I've than the fresh market or Whole Foods....and what's more, most items aren't very gourmet or unique.I was extremely disappointed....Hate giving a negative review on a Mom & Pop place -- especially when the cashier was lovely, etc. unfortunately I couldn't even buy the handful of staples I needed because I couldn't stomach paying the money.

This is a great addition to the community! There was a good amount of parking available and the outside is very nice with a lovely sitting area in the parking area and tables to the side of the building. The inside is clean and nicely organized. I was so pleased to see many of the dairy free food options available and their focus on reducing plastic waste. All staff we met were very nice, and we will definitely be back to this grocery store. Anyone can shop here but there are certain discounts for those who are co op owners.

Love this place! So many vegan options that many places in Woodstock don't carry - no more driving all the way to Crystal Lake for sour cream! Their house-made strawberry matcha and strawberry syrup are amazing. They have an awesome selection for compassionate people :)

this is a great place! it is especially great for people with alternative diets. there is vegan/vegetarian, organic, gluten free, bulk items, kumbacha type drinks...Local produce / meats..., as well as some local processed/produced foods, bakery items..., they have pre-made grab and go cold items as well as limited hot items, 4 different soups, juice and smoothies that they make while you wait.Some things cost more than Walmart, but everywhere costs more than there. The local items seem well priced to me. I've had some prepared items that are delicious.Give them a try, you don't have to do all of your shopping there, but they might have some items you'll love!

The prices Are absolutely Ridiculous. It is so expensive that there is no way you can go in there And not be shocked By prices that are two to three times higher That anywhere else you may find. Across the street you will find Aldi that also has organic gourmet food that is three times I saw several people also leaving the store actually commenting that it is absolutely insane the prices! Try it for yourself and see if you don't agree
