Delicious food! I had the chicken pesto grill and it was great. The chocolate raspberry cupcake was also spectacular! Cool little spot for lunch.

My aunt threw me a small bridal shower at Fatt Cat, and I was so pleasantly surprised by this place! Walking in, I found the interior to be rustic and charming. There is definitely a country vibe, especially in the back room. The back room has a door that leads you to the backyard, which resembles an English garden on the countryside. I was obsessed with all of the details (see my photos).For lunch, we had the vegetable quiche and simple salad, both of which were lovely. We ended the meal with two kinds of cupcakes, chocolate-peanut butter and carrot. Fatt Cat's cupcakes are something worth boasting about. These monstrous individual cakes were moist all around and the frosting was delicious. Looking back, I wish we would have brought some home.The next time I'm in the Rockford area again, I'll bypass the chains and enjoy another ladies' lunch at Fatt Cat!

Me and my family waited 30mins for at least a water and nothing. The staff just kept saying " your server is coming. ". We walked out and found another place that wanted to serve us. NEVER going back.

Wow, what a bunch of mixed reviews. We loved it! It is a charming place in a town that could use some charm. Service is not quick so know that before coming here. I had one of their melts on sourdough. It was delish, full of perfectly melted cheeses, fresh tomatoes and the bread was grilled just right. I had it with their homemade potato chips and recommend those too. Daughter had a quesadilla and hubs and a burger. They both enjoyed their choices. I wouldn't recommend bringing a large group here. It's not the kind of place. This is the type of place you go to with your best friend talk about the affair one of you is having or wants to have while lingering over some really tasty, home-made food. Wink, wink!They are known for hosting bridal and baby showers. Seems like a lovely spot for shower.

This is one of my fun, treat myself places. The menu has some tasty, creative options.Homemade potato chips with parmesan and dill tickles my taste buds. Like the champagne salad dressing...it's light and refreshing; a great complement to salads. The staff is attentive and accommodating to substitutions for dietary reasons. I enjoy the quiet, homey atmosphere. Definitely above average experience. I would say the past reviews are dated....my guess is there have been staffing changes.

Supportive completely when we needed a family venue quickly. Handled the accommodations and food beautifully, quickly and cost effectively. Everyone was comfortable in the very family like setting and the food was on point. I couldn't recommend this place more for any event needed with a home like feel from the venue to the staff. Thank you so much!

Went out of our way to eat at Fatt Cat Cafe. Cute place. The food was good. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask for silverware. The ketchup and sugar we asked for never came. Was given a pot of cold water for hot tea. Went for the cupcakes and they were out. We had to cancel our afternoon plans because we spent way to much time waiting on our food. Very disappointed.

We love this place! It is very charming inside - lots of ambiance. The food is delicious - homemade, served piping hot. I had the chicken broccoli quiche which comes with a delicious muffin. I also had a pomegranate iced tea which was so refreshing. Our server was beyond pleasant and very efficient. The homemade cupcakes looked heavenly but we were too full from our lunch to enjoy dessert.I wanted to add that in this time of COVID, the restaurant is attempting to follow restrictions. Seating was available at every other table only. Our server wore a mask. There is a sign as you walk in that states that a face mask is required and can be removed once you are seated. However, there was a shower going on and everyone was walking around without a mask. As we were leaving, a couple came in and were seated not wearing masks.
