Falcon Bowl aka the Polish Falcon was everything I hoped it would be. Everything.Old-timey Formica bar? CheckWeird snacks (jerky, possibly items from Ma Baenisch) behind said bar? Check.Bowling alley in basement? Check.Resulting in that weird-but-not-entirely-unpleasant bowling alley smell about the place? Check.Tons of craft beer for the local hipsters including a to-go cooler? Check.$4 Old Fashioneds for me? Check.Surprisingly clean ladies room? Check.Little to no change in the place since the Eisenhower administration? Check. What more do you want from a Riverwest dive bar/bowling alley/hall? Add in friendly bartenders, relatively cheap prices and a cross section of local neighbors getting their drink on and it's almost perfect.Still - no Polish beers available at the Polish Falcon? Come on!

I checked out the Polish Falcon Lodge for the bowling alley. I plan on bringing my friends here some night for a bowling outing. Tonight (a Thursday), I just came to check the vibe, so I had a few beers. The place was friendly as folks have noted and they had a good selection of Lakefront brews on tap. There was a league going on downstairs so I only dropped in for a moment. There were 5 lanes and it appeared bright and well maintained. I will write a better review after we actually come here for a bowling night. I am super jacked to keep score the old fashioned way - on paper!

Trying to review the Falcon Bowl feels like trying to review my grandparents house on Christmas when I was 8 years old. I adore it here. Everyone is always either friendly or refreshingly candid. You can get takeout beer, you can play pool, you can watch the game with a bunch of lifers who all treat each other like family. This place takes care of it's regulars in so many meaningful ways. I've been to a wedding, a funeral and had my rehearsal dinner all in the ballroom of the Falcon Bowl. Only go if you're capable of being respectable and drunk at the same time.

This place has been around for forever.(Cue that one kid from The Sandlot: FOREvvvvvvERrrrrr)& that's what makes it so great, honestly.Honestly: Honest folks at an honest-to-goodness neighborhood spot. No frills, no fancy plus a pool table and super old, old-timey bowling. Old + young and everyone in between, the Falcon sings Riverwest. Six-packs and snacks and it might be a little brighter than I'd like it to be, but this place is so super real it hurts (in the best way possible).Five stars for the Falcon!

My favorite bar on my block. Awesome, vintage & operational bowling alley in the basement, with leagues all week, open bowling Wednesday nights. Friendly, down-home regulars. Good-to-great jukebox, and lots of salty snacks. It feels like family, if your family loves beer, jokes and rolling dice.

The way the owners have revitalized this gem of milwaukee history is incredible. Keeping its vintage charm while providing an upscale venue with their ballroom and classic fun on the lanes. Service is top notch and personable which makes you feel like a regular.

Maybe pay with card at the bar as the bartender confused what bills I had given them and I ended up paying over double with no recourse. They took my phone # but never reached out.

Falcon Bowl is truly a hidden gem in the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee. We bowl here every other Sunday in a league, and it is always one of the highlights of my week! The staff are always welcoming and friendly, the beer is always cold, and the lanes are always slick! You simply cannot beat the Falcon.

Prototypical Wisconsin bar:Cheap beerAttached to a bowling alleyTube TV with Brewers fans crowded aroundOn the corner in a residential neighborhoodOld school juke boxCertificate of ownership in the Packers on the wallCash onlyThe bathroom reminds me of my mid 20th century Catholic grad schoolFriendly barkeepGreat mix of people, all ages, races, etc. I dock one star for being a bit cramped and the dartboard for being in an awkward spot.
