Esma's Italian Restaurant and Carnitas Michoacanas

Just left this little gem with some carnitas thanks to a heads up from a friend. These tacos are BANGING! Will absolutely be back. They even give you a little carnitas while you wait almost to brag and oh my does this place deserves bragging rights. Couldn't even eat it all so portions are plenty big.

Pork is awesome and the owners are very nice. Small place with long lines but worth the wait.

Not exactly sure why they say it's an Italian restaurant because you don't go there for pizza! It's their Barbacoa & CARNITAS! Omgosh!! Go early Saturday or Sunday morning! Like right when they open. They'll sell out fast but man oh man you won't regret!

Best tacos in town, the barbacoa both versions and steak are legit. I come here strictly for tacos and I leave never disappointed. They also make the best mojito in town as well.

This is my favorite place in Kenosha! Every time I go the food just gets better and better. If you're looking for recommendations of what to eat go for the tortas or tacos, your won't be disappointed. Everything is perfectly seasoned, and I've never had a piece of dry meat from here. Seriously the best carne asada I've ever had. If you're looking for somewhere new to eat this is the place!

Pleasantly surprised! Since moving to Kenosha 3 years ago, I've been searching for the best tacos. Look no farther! Chips and salsa are fresh and homemade. They definitely don't skimp on meat for the tacos themselves. I had the house made carnitas they pride themselves on, and my husband had the carne asada. Both were phenomenal and fresh, on the tastiest chewy slightly crisp freshly made corn tortillas. The menu is small but what they are doing is done right. Beans and rice leave little to be desired , but go for the taco!

What a jewel of a find! Carnitas are great, Montalayo is awesome and the Menudo is even better! If you want to treat your tastebuds to some goodness, dive into the roasted Habanero salsa!

Great food and service. Love their pork carnitas, chicharron and barria. Very clean restaurant.

Great food and great service. I've had the burritos and typically order carnitas by the pound with hot flour or corn tortillas.
