Elias Inn Supper Club

We came here for a fish fry. They don't take reservations so when we arrived around 5:45pm on a Friday we had about an hour wait. They have a nice bar area with tables so we were able to grab a table and drinks while we waited. With the crowd, it took some time to get our drink orders.The dining room is cozy. It is family style, all you can eat. The waitress came over to confirm we wanted everything on the menu and then dishes were brought out to our table within 5 minutes. There were sides (baked beans, coleslaw, etc.), fried chicken, baked fish, fried fish, and fries. Overall I thought everything was ok. We were not a fan of the baked fish and the chicken was hit or miss. The chicken was bone in, some pieces were good and some weren't great. Overall our favorite thing on the table was the fried fish. Cool experience and friendly staff but overall underwhelmed by the food.

Our next stop on the supper club tour was the Elias.The bar area is so spacious with plenty of seating and the host stand. The dining area is much smaller and you are literally shimmying and squeezing into spaces so you don't bump others. The ambiance is stunning though, with details on the ceilings, the fans and anywhere else you look.We went on Friday, so the menu was limited. I usually get a tenderloin or filet, but I only had ribeye as an option, so I went with it. Many others in our party got the fish fry.There was a relish tray that came along with that, including beans and potato salads. The fish fry came with bake fish, fried fish, and broasted chicken. But we had four people at our table who ordered it and when they asked for more, they brought two pieces of things at a time, seemed extremely silly.Our waitress was extremely hard to hear, as it was so loud in the dining room and she was always walking away from us. The overall experience was okay, but not extremely memorable.

We had excellent service, great drinks and a delicious meal all at the bar. The atmosphere is fun and the menu has lots of great German, Italian and American offerings. Highly recommend this stop if you are in Watertown!

Had eyed going here since Covid and finally we got here on a weekday evening. No history with past owners but just glad someone took it over - hate to see these old supper clubs die. Loved the old building and architecture much nicer than many of the supper clubs.It was pretty quiet on a Thursday night so our group of four got a table right away. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We were early enough to get the 1/2 priced appetizers and a small discount on our old fashions (a must test for supper clubs - they passed the test). We got the appetizer medley with cheese curds, shoestring onions and mushrooms - all were excellent.We also opted for two shares of the relish tray ($6 each) which was enough for four of us especially with the appetizers. For me the relish tray was the highlights lots of fun items on the tray. The only downside were the rolls they were really really dry.For the dinner one order the liver and onions (ewww) but she loved it. Her husband order the walleye was broiled which was a bit plain but not unexpected. Another got the reuben which they liked and the fries were very good (for me the corned beef was too thick for a sandwich but it was tender). I got the 4 piece broasted chicken (dark meat) - not sure I had broasted chicken before and it was very moist and tender but it need some more seasoning. It was just too bland.Overall all a fun experience but will move on to try the many other supper clubs in the area.

I've eaten here 3 times now, since it's changed ownership and it continues to impress. Had some nice muddled old fashioned's, lazy Susan with sides and all you can eat fried cod, baked cod and fried chicken. Everything was excellent and the server was very pleasant and quick to bring food and refills. Great old German atmosphere. Will continue to be a regular stop for fish fries.

Family style fry is why we're there. And boy did it deliver. Huge plates of food. Everything tasty. No potato pancakes, but I'm over it. Very busy when we got there at 6:30. Completely empty when we left.

Service needs some attention, but overall not bad. Still can't get in on a busy Friday night - but that's a good thing in the eye of the business owner!

We love to hit supper clubs when we are in Wisconsin and decided to try this one because of the reviews and the location. Our experience wasn't good. The place is old and cool, and the bar in the front looks great. Our waitress Wendy was pretty condescending and pushy. I ordered the skirt steak special and my wife had sirloin. I'd hoped for walleye, but there was no such choice. The skirt steak was marinaded in what tasted like straight soy sauce. It came pre sliced and was so salty that it was inedible. The sirloin was better but still salty. Wendy was clearing dishes the second you set your fork down which didn't add to the enjoyment. No one in the place was real friendly honestly. Wasted Wisconsin experience.

Went for the Fish fry and it was such a fun and interesting way to serve a classic WI staple!! Food was delicious, fast and hot. It's all you can eat and you can pick and choose what you want more of. It's a small space and fills up fast, so go early if you can.

Great food, great service and fair prices, what more can be said of a Wisconsin Supper Club, Oh you are wondering about their Old Fashions, sorry, I don't drink anything stronger than coffee.
