El Sombrero

Came here based on ratings I read online. When I was one of just 2 cars at supper time, that should have been my hint! Food was just ok. I LOVE Mexican food...this was ok. I got one of the special dishes with steak, shrimp, chicken and chorizo... hardly any chorizo, shrimp and chicken were good, steak was dry and tough. Came with a side of beans, rice, guacamole and sour cream...I had one fork full of guacamole and sour cream which helped build just one tortilla filled with meat... asked for more and was told I'd need to order a full side of guacamole! Buy one get free Lime Margarita...I could not taste any tequila! I tried. I will find another Mexican restaurant next time I'm in the area!

In the area for a short mini vaca and found this gem! Truly good Mexican dishes . I had flautas and their rice and beans were soo yummy along w some house margaritas which went well with our dishes. If lived in the area would definitely return . The staff was friendly and restaurant decorations were lovely.

Recently visited from va and got on yelp to check the reviews. Over all the establishement was an old kfc redecorated and looked authentic. Chips and salsa were great little watery but still homeade. Guac was delicious. I ordered the fijitas for two and wife got a pollo loco. Both meals came out piping hot and delicious . Not only that the price was great and for only one female server doing cashier server and host she killed it. I would recoment it. The only down side was we walked in and right away the smoke from them kitchen was cloudy and moving to the dining area little foggy but the smell was great.

Really good authentic Mexican food! Family atmosphere and fast service. Will come back for sure!

Great food and service. We are vegan and there are nice options for us. My husband ordered the vegetarian fajitas with no cheese and there are a lot of veggies in the dish. I ordered the burrito with no cheese. For $7.50 I expected a bigger burrito than I received but the taste is fantastic. Turns out the size is perfect for my current appetite. I just think it's priced high for the size. There are carrots, broccoli, peppers, etc in the burrito. YUM. I love the salsa and warm chips they start you off with. When the meal comes they bring a picante style salsa which we both loved. Definitely worth stopping here. We may even come back tomorrow after our Tough Mudder race.

Amazingly delicious and authentic mexican food! I love coming here, and the waitress we always get is always very nice!!

We love eating at El Sombrero! This restaurant had a slow start, but has improved to be one of our favorites. The avocado tostada is excellent.

Wow what a surprise. In Plymouth on a Sunday night looking for a place to eat pulled up the reviews on this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was very good. Tons of flavor. Everything seemed fresh and the service was very good. The only real complaint and it's more of an opinion it was very bright inside a little too much for my tastes.

Probably the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Enchiladas were sad... two tiny tortillas wrapped around dry, flavorless ground beef. The sauce was almost like ketchup and the tiny bits of cheese on top was disappointing. Will not be returning. Conjitos in Milwaukee is 10x better and 1/2 the price.

Was blah. I got my plate of rice,sour cream, at least 5 minutes before everything else..Fajita usually has a variety of vegetables..Not just green peppers and onions.Service was bad. Asked for something 2 times and didn't get it..I ordered extra sour cream and guacamole.Waitress said it comes with it.. thanks for the info. But I asked for extra.. never got it..If I didn't believe in stiffing the waitress this would have been the perfect time to do it..
