El Jimador

Huge menu and large margaritas greeted us at El Jimador. I chose the shredded beef chimichanga. It was served covered in cheese sauce with beans and rice on the side. It was two smaller chimis instead on one gigantic one, which I liked better. It also came with a nice side of lettuce,tomato, and sour cream. Everything was super hot (in temp) and flavorful. Service was very quick. We had a nice booth for 4 near the windows. Very nice stop.

I've had Mexican food all over the country, never experience a burrito smothered with cheese sauce. I had the burrito Vallarta... after the initial shock of the cheese sauce, by the 3rd bite I was totally bought in.... Ah... Wisconsin Mexican food is born!!!!

Visited this restaurant several times before and continue to try different dishes and I'm always more than satisfied with the food and service. Started with one of the specialty margaritas, the jumbo size will certainly last through your meal. Tried the fish tacos and they were very tasty, the spicy sauce was a nice touch. My wife had the Mexican street corn, a cup full of goodness put a smile on her face. Lastly was Pablo's Salad, lettuce, peppers and beans were a great combination.

Margarita was watery and missing tequila, and tasted mostly like Gatorade . Food overall was kinda bland and verde sauce watery and bland like the tomatillos weren't roasted.

I enjoyed my first experience at El Jimador. For dinner, I ordered a combo plate of an enchilada and tamale. Following the suggestions of others, I went with the carnitas, which was moist and flavorful. My dining partner got a burrito, which was huge. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Wonderful meal with my family. Every dish was plentiful and delicious. The servings were large and the service was prompt and attentive. This is just a nice place for a great and authentic meal. But be careful of the margaritas: they pack a punch!

Food was very good. Carnitas was juicy and very flavorful. Good chips and salsas, and a nice white cheese dipping sauce. Staff was attentive and friendly. Nice ambiance. Good prices. The house margarita tastes OK, but the lime green Koolaid color is off-putting. Stick with the Texas margarita or a hand shaken.

Large menu with large portions. I would advise if you don't like something that is standard ask that they remove it or swap it (beans, sour cream, etc) because you get plenty. Food has always been good. Wait staff and bartenders are always very pleasant. I wish they would change the lighting though. Some light fixtures on ceiling and maybe at the booths and dimmer lighting would enhance the look and experience. Floors can get a little dirty so some dimmer lighting may help you not notice.

I love this place so much. Food is amazing & so flavorful!!!! The margaritas are strong and the costumer service is quick and attentive. Would highly recommend!
