Always a wonderful experience. Ownership is so friendly and the food is the most authentic in town. The pan de dulce is so high quality and delicious!

I was there on a Sunday noon. I took out some baked goodies. Choco flan was my favorite item. It was half flan half chocolate cake. I liked the flan part a lot more. Bola de berlin (stuffed donut) and chino (pecan muffin) were my other favorites. Cubilete, cono relleno, croissant and piedra were the other items I tried.

Yesterday I finally stopped in after noticing this new bakery a few weeks ago. So glad I did! Service was great. The woman at the counter came over with tongs and a tray to get pastries out of the case for me. There were lots of big conchas to choose from and other tasty looking treats too. I chose 2 conchas, 2 churros, and a twisted puff pastry covered in sugar. Too much to eat in just one day, even sharing with my family. Then, at check out, I was also given a piece of flan! I took my order to go, but there are a handful of tables if you want to stay a little longer. It was quiet while I was there. Decor was minimal (I expected this based on previous businesses in this space). Everything has been delicious! My daughter asked me to go back for more after her first bite of churro. I was already planning to based on the flan and having seen the sign saying they have tamales on weekends!

This has easily become my boyfriend and my favorite panaderia in Madison. They have a wide assortment of classic Mexican baked goods, including ojos de buey which I don't always see in bakeries, supplemented with more traditionally European sweets such as frosted cupcakes and filled croissants. Everything is fresh and flavorful, from their surprisingly tender conchas to their unparalleled besos. The service is very friendly and you can tell the owners take immense pride in their work. The setting is fairly quiet, perhaps it will become more bustling as more people find out about this little gem, but I for one don't mind the tranquility. All in all, a much-welcome addition to the Far West Side.
