After looking forward to tacos this weekend I decided to call first because Yelp has screwed me before with places not open that I drove over to, yep the place is closed today. I decided to go to the authentic neighborhoods and see if I could find a truck that I have never been to, jack pot. This truck was a little different because it was a pick up 3500 hd diesel box truck and small compared to the big bread trucks.I would get two Steak and one Al pastor taco and I totally forgot to ask for corn tortillas and cilantro/onion, crap what ever they end up being is what I'm having for lunch. Thankfully they were corn tortillas with just meat, cilantro and onion. It came with a brownish red and green sauce with two lime wedges, the brownish was packing heat and made my nose run, that's how I like it.The three tacos were $5 flat and they were not skimpy on the meat at all because all three were loaded with meat. The tacos were tasty and the meat was moist like they were marinated or finished off on the grill in a marinade and great authentic flavor, no Taco Bell here. I must say that the Al Pastor was my favorite because it was just more flavorful than the Steak but I throughly enjoyed them both.Overall this place was a great find and not to mention very reasonable for some great tacos, I wish I knew where I found this truck because I was just driving around.

We went here for breakfast. We found it a little odd that they brought up chips and salsa as an appetizer before breakfast but they were very tasty. Our breakfast took quite a long time to come out but sometimes that happens I guess.Food was fantastic and the prices were good.I don't know why this is listed as a food truck, maybe they have a food truck also but this is an actual restaurant with tableservice.

HUGE portions for under $10 a plate! Excellent service, beautiful building and space. Few places are open at 8am for breakfast, and on our way to Guadalajara, we saw that this place looked packed. Guadalajara looked closed and had two bums fighting over a shopping cart full of appliances directly blocking the front door, so we back tracked to El Comedor. The chilaquiles have steak, two eggs, and could feed a nuclear family. My huaraches came with a bowl of chicken noodle soup - literally, three large meals worth of food. Every other table besides ours got menudo, so we'll have to go back.

El Comedor is an excellent place for some awesome food! Their burritos and tacos are amazing!! The prices are very reasonable and you get a good size portion with your meals. Each time I have gone, the wait time was not long at all. Definitely recommend!

There are over a dozen good, authentic Mexican-American Guadalajara style family run restaurants within a very short walk of my house. Here's one more. Unlike the others, this one serves huaraches, and hamburgers, so that's a plus. Big windows so you can watch the traffic going by on National, it's in an old cream-city-brick building, another plus. The burritos are a little different (aren't they all?) this is the first Mexican place I've been to that puts rice in. It's also right at the bus stop. The horchata has a coconut milk taste which I really liked but the Chief of Staff did not (so I drank both). In Walker's Point/Walker's Square there are a number of places that serve Anglo-American style breakfast, and a number of places that serve Mexican-American breakfast, this one has both, but I have to come back to try that out. Prices are even cheaper than than my other favorite Mexican-American joints.

I came here to eat some tacos with my family and they were really good and I'm a slow eater, I take my time eating. So these two ladies that work there were looking at me with VERY nasty looks. Ig they were impatient because they wanted me to eat faster. I felt very disrespected and angry. I will say though, they have good food, but terrible and disrespectful staff. My parents were gonna leave a 3$ tip but after I told them about the dirty looks, we left nothing. Probably won't come back here again.

This was so good. El Comedor has great prices. Carne Asada tacos come with onion, cilantro and avocado. The best beans and rice! They were fast and really good. I'll be back since I work close by. A plus is the restaurant is really clean!

Simply amazing! Great place to devour a delicious meal for a low price. I had a vegetarian guarache, my husband tried the tacos dorados and my daughter had a hamburger (which was huge!)
