One of my Facebook friends posted about the Egg & Flour Pasta Bar, so I followed along for a year or so and then I finally got my chance to visit. All the pics look so good, so it was perfect when we decided to share three pasta entrees between my family. The pasta is made fresh daily and the meals are made to order, it's delicious and fresh! We sampled The Adam, Carbonara and Rigatoni. We can't wait to go back!

The pasta is made fresh daily and it's all so delicious. Their bolognese is hearty and the Parmesan cream sauce is rich and satisfying. Can't wait to try more. It's a more laid back hip spot. You order at the counter and find your own spot. The staff is friendly and helpful. Seriously if you're looking for a good place for well made pasta that isn't stuffy or wildly overpriced, this is the spot for you!

Great food and spacious restaurant! This place gives me a city feel on the inside. I usually order the Bucatini but this time I tried their special vids pasta. It's pretty cool to taste one of their super limited pasta dish and taste a freshly made pasta! Had a sparkling water to go with it. The staff was friendly, helpful, and super fast! I came there for an early dinner with friends so there was not much wait around 5pm. It got a little. Yay at dinner time but not a problem since they had plenty space and seating tables.I will always come back to this place cause they're always good !

I have never been to a pasta bar before, but now I'm extremely sad there aren't more out there! This spot, located in a prime location off Lincoln and Howell, has superb pasta, good service, and a homey atmosphere that will make anyone feel welcome

Yummy!! I love pasta and if ypu do also, this is your place. Daughter and I stopped in for dinner. I ordered the Papperdelle with bolognese sauce and my daughter chose the Truffle Lumache. I loved the wide noodles and the sauce was so tasty and my daughters meal was so delicious also!! You order at the counter and are given a buzzer when your food is ready. I liked that there was a water station because I like drinking water with my meals so I could go back and refill my cup as much as I wanted. I will be back again to try more of the entrees. I also thought the price was reasonable considering the pasta is handmade and I had leftovers for another meal.

I've loved Egg & Flour since they started off at Crossroads. The Bay View location is nicely situated on Howell right off Kinnickinnic. You order at the counter and get one of those buzzer things that goes off when your order's ready. There's always been plenty of seating when I've been there, in the afternoon or evening. You can grab a seat at the bar or sit at a table. TV's play movies and the Food Network.Portions are reliably huge and the pasta is always fresh and al dente. Everything is good but my favorite is probably the rigatoni, with tomato cream sauce and topped with a burrata ball. I'm also partial to the bucatini with pesto cream and pistachios and the pappardelle dishes just because that's one of my favorite pasta shapes. I got the bread on a recent visit when I was hungry and didn't care about social norms around carbohydrate consumption. I was still thinking about the bread after the meal. It was hot and brushed with butter with more garlic butter on the side. It was perfect for soaking sauce but also delicious on its own. I've had the salads and they're delicious also.Prices for the amount of food you get are more than reasonable. Some of the rotating specials are not to be missed--check social media to see the latest. One of my favorite spots for a casual pasta meal.

New restaurant of the week was this pasta restaurant and anyone who is friends or followers can see I don't do Italian very much because I'm Italian and and I ate so much pasta growing up and as an adult when I learned how to cook . Today I was craving a bolognese style pasta and meat balls so I stopped by here for lunch. There model is a little different because they don't have table service but more of a fast food style but it's not fast food in any way because you place and pay for your order and sit anywhere you want, when the pager goes off you go back to the counter and pick up your food. The decor is funky and more hip/modern than old crusty Italian restaurant with a black a and yellow theme. There is a cooler with fresh made pasta on display in front of the pasta making room where you can watch the fresh pasta getting made. Every order is made fresh one plate at a time I noticed.I ordered the Bolo Pappardelle with added meatballs which is Bolognese, meat sauce with fresh grated Parmesan in 6 inch wide flat noodles topped with 2 side meatballs with the cloud of Parmesan cheese. The meat balls were flavorful with the right texture. The Bolognese sauce was ok, it's not garlicky or grandmas but perfectly suitable because everyone's tastes are different. The fresh noodles were awesome and cooked perfect Al dente. The noodles are cooked to order and not laying around waiting for an order which I really appreciate.Overall is it the best pasta restaurant, no but they do pasta in a fresh cooked model and it definitely filled this Italians crave with out spending hours making a pot of pasta.

I ordered:Fresh bread $3 - 4/5-standard baguette no frillsCaesar salad $6 - 5/5-for a side salad, the portion was big. It was delicious. Bolognese pappardelle $16 - 5/5-so good. Would order again. Cream sauce bucatini with chicken $21 2/5-there was just SO much sauce. Did not enjoy. Would not order again. The chicken was good.Overall, solid place. I just prefer about 1/4 of the sauce they served in the pasta. But maybe that's how people in the Midwest like it...
