East Troy House

Had family in town from FL over the weekend and decided to try something new for lunch. First, the building is beautiful and so historic. We were seated right away, although we weren't greeted by waitstaff for a good 10 minutes, service was decent after the beginning. We all ordered something different and mostly enjoyed. My parents each had a burger, one was the beer cheese burger and one was classic. They both said the burger itself was delicious but the beer cheese was too heavily loaded onto the one. My husband has the salmon risotto and enjoyed it; salmon was cooked perfectly but risotto could have been done a bit better. I had the Caesar wrap which wasn't great, to much lettuce that was hot inside and the dressing wasn't very Caesar-y. We did also get pretzel bites for an appetizer with the beer cheese and it was very good, although the amount of garlic in the cheese was intense so if you're not into garlic I'd recommend skipping this. Lastly my daughter read the chicken fingers and fries kids meal and it came with a go-gurt as well. Overall we would return but try something new.

Went there for a family party. It is in a cool town square in of all places; East Troy. Nice family owned small town cool Wisconsin bar. Not a better place to be on a Saturday night . Most folks has a drink in there hand and a smile on there face. I have it on good authority the food is good. I'll be stopping back.

The burgers and fried cheese curds are awesome! Been coming here every time I'm in the area and they never disappoint. One of the best hamburgers I've ever had anywhere. They do it right. Nothing fancy, but very clean establishment with plenty of seating and a good bar area. The service is always excellent and the bartenders on top of things.

Food is excellent AND the menu is updated frequently! Their old fashions are made from scratch...we've made this a frequent sto on our weekend dining routine!

The place was great for lunch. had the little people with us and the kids menu hit the spot for them. The server was super accommodating and did a super job. I had the beet salad and would recommend it if you like that type.

After shopping at a nearby gourmet grocery, my friend and I stopped for lunch at the East Troy House. The interior was similar to a rustic pub. Attractive wood topped tables added to the look. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich was served on a pretzel bun. Pork and crispy onions were stacked high. The pork was tender with just the right amount of sauce. The sandwich was a tall artistic tower that made us smile. The salad used good quality spring mix greens with a house vinaigrette.The serving was generous and a little more than I could eat. The server was pleasant and helpful. Before leaving we enjoyed viewing the historic pictures that showed the building in the past - back to horse and carriage days. We enjoyed conversing with the owner about his cute rescued dog that was looking out the window of the office. Overall, I would recommend visiting this neighborhood restaurant. I will go again when I get back in the area.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Very few patrons had face masks on especially as it got busier around lunch. Our server wore a mask but the bartender did not. The big pretzel was excellent! Cream cheese/beer cheese dip was good. The fries were enjoyed by all. The general tso cauliflower was crispy and had a good spice to the sauce. Good beer selection. It's also connected to a cute store down the hallway which was a nice way to wrap up the afternoon.If you're in the area, be sure to stop by!

I've had lunch at East Troy House twice now and both times I have been happy and dissatisfied with both visits. The food is ok. I'd recommend a burger or a wrap. Don't expect either to be the best sandwich you've ever had. It's pretty mediocre. Bloody Mary's are just the right amount of spicy and tasty. Kids chicken tenders are really good. My kids ate them no problem! However, the mini corn dogs came out burnt. We waited so long for the food that it wasn't worth sending it back.The service was unfriendly. Have you ever felt scared to order a water? That's how I felt with our waitress. To her defense, she was taking care of the bar and our table, but I still don't believe that should be an excuse for rudeness.

I reviewed my "go to" restaurant in East Troy in 2021 and thought it was time for an update. dined there twice last week. mid week and Friday night fish fry. Both were excellent! My midweek meal consisted of a Sue Burger I believe it was called and some onion tanglers. The burger was delicious and first class in every way. very satisfying and reasonably priced. The fish fry I had on Friday night was excellent as always and served fresh and piping hot. I chose the beer battered fish fried with French fries but the potato pancakes are also excellent. Always tasty and consistent. Served with coleslaw, tartar sauce and lemon slices and a nice chunk of wonderful rye bread. The serving staff is super and well trained.I always look forward to visiting the East Troy house!

Absolutely amazing burger and fries! Gave me classic diner vibes, but the atmosphere is much more fun. Despite being super busy because of a local event, the wait staff and bartenders were in great spirits and the service was fast, especially considering how busy it was. I would definitely stop if I was in the area again!
