Stopped in the Down Slope for a beverage. Incredible bourbon selection! Sat at the bar, owners are great. Didn't eat but the food looked good. Well worth the stop!

I stopped here and I did a U turn to go back to check them out because I'm not in the area that often and I felt like I would be missing something. The place very old looking on the inside with a small bar and gambling machines. The bartender was nice and talkative with the customers all 3 of us. The front sign is a leftover of a time past and they don't have food but they have frozen Brew Pub pizza. The walls and fixtures look old and I was told that it's been a Bar since 1901. They have a cool back lit bar on the wall and a super old looking door with a crest on it. The two regulars were friendly and talked to me. They also have a small patio by the front door for nice days.

The Down Slope Pub is a fantastic hidden gem tucked into the hills of the Kettle Moraine and is just a stone's throw from majestic Holy Hill. Jim and Tina pour their heart and soul into the restaurant and take excellent care of their customers. The food is terrific, much of it made from scratch, the prices are more than fair and the service is top notch. There of course is seating inside and, weather permitting, their patio is a great spot to enjoy the outdoors and some nights, live music. It's not just another bar / restaurant... it's a destination. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
